I think if they were to do it now it could have been much better. They just skirted on the fact that Buffy was suffering from PTSD, now they could really touch on it and hammer it home. I never had an issue with the episode; I think Buffy vs Dracula was worse.'When She Was Bad' was always the one I was least impressed by.
Plus Buffy is acting like such a 'Bee Eye Tee See Atch' throughout.
Don'tIf they had taken Dracula seriously and not treated him like a silly joke in the writing

I hated the Dracula episode. You don't have to make him Alucard but a little more threatening than that. But I don't even remember the season 7 one off the top of my head. That has to be a bad sign, right?
Oh, now I remember the last scene where they ran through the seasonal big bads ending with Buffy, which was cool (cooler if Angelus was one of them, but still very cool). But my memory of season 7 episodes starts with the blue shirt Spike/big worm thing.I watched S7's opener not too long ago. Its actually pretty good. It sets up the season as a whole very well. Its certainly not the worst season opener. I'd say its better than S5 and S6's openers.
BTW is your avatar and username a CM Punk reference? If so that's really cool!😎
Aw! It is my favourite. Willow leading the Scoobies, being recklessly brave, Giles teaching Tibetan philosophy to the Buffy-Bot, the Buffy-Bot and Dawn. It is such a great exploration of absence. It's Bargaining for me. I don't really have anything against the episode. It's just the least enjoyable season opener for me to watch. I love all the others.
I completely forgot what the season 5 one was.
