Who should Wesley be with in general?

I'm a W/F shipper. By the I mean Fred and Wes. They are sooooo good for each other. He even said that he's loved her since the moment he saw her and maybe even before. God they are great together. lol.
 
I can't choose between Fred and Lilah...Wes obviously loves Fred,but he looked pretty good with Lilah...I have to think about it...
 
Oh man...this is hard. Like you said, Magui, Wes loves Fred...but damn...Wes/Lilah was just too friggin' hot. Here's a thought...what about Wes/Illyria...? *grins*

If those fragments of Fred's soul that were infused in Illyria give her a conscience and portions of Fred's personality,
I think that they would make a great couple! 🙂

I don't care how good she turns, I doubt Wesley will ever love Illyria. He loved Fred to much, and Illyria killed her. I doubt Wes will ever get over Fred, and certainly not with the one who killed her! Honestly, I think Illyria could be cool, but not with Wesley!

As for Wes and Lilah, God, I want to forget that ever happened! What was he thinking? Lilah is so evil and he's not.

Can you tell, I'm all for Wesley and Fred?

LOL! You sound like my best friend, actually. I think the only reason I like Wesley and Fred so much is because he loves Fred and he was happy with her. I like Wes, so he i want him to be happy. I bet that he could be with Harmony and i'd like it it if he were happy, though I doubt that wil ever happen.
 
I totally agree. Wes happy = Me happy. It's strange...how completely different his relationship with Lilah was and the relationship he and Fred held (for a short time, anyway..damn writers...)
 
I know! I was so happy when they were together at the end of Smile Time, but next episode they had to kill Fred, didn't they? I mean, I felt sorry for Fred, but I almost felt more sorry for Wesley. I mean, he's loved Fred for so long and when Butthey are finally together... she dies! I think Shells showed how much he really loved her, though. I was so sad when he was yelling at KNox saying how KNox didn't have to feel her die or watch her be gutted away. I think the saddest moment, and the one that showed how much he loved her, was when Illyria said, "My world, it's gone," and Wes said, "Now you know how I feel." That had me sobbing!
 
I can't really answer it right now, all depends on the outcome of this season.

I think either Illyria, Lilah or Fred...
but most likely Fred.
 
Oh man...anytime Wes appeared on screen in that episode, I was bawling! The one thing that made me chuckle in that episode is, after Angel gives his big speech to Illyria about saving humans, Wes pulls out a gun and kills Knox. "Were you even listening?" When's the last time Wes listened to *anyone*?...Now I'm remembering the scene, after Wes stabs Gunn, and Angel's throwing him up against the wall...*sniff*...I hate being able to replay episodes in my head sometimes....
 
I know! The two happy parts were when Wes killed KNox, and, I might be crazy, when he stabbed Gunn. It may sound mean, but be and my friend were cheering when he stabbed Gunn. I think he deserved it, and KNox was annoying, even before the whole Fred thing. He needed to be shot.

Wesley and Fred are so much better than Wesley and Lilah! Okay, I think Lilah was one of my favorite characters, but she was so evil! (Why I liked her, though.) I just like Wesley better with someone who is... uh, how to put this... GOOD!
 
I'm still on the fence as to who I like him better with...Ultimately, it's meant to be Fred, but god...Wes/Lilah was just...hot. LOL. I loved Lilah's character, and I liked seeing this whole other side to Wes. If it weren't for the Lilah relationship we would have missed out on all that misery. I'm a little sadistic...*grins* Wes/Fred is cute and sappy...where as Wes/Lilah was more agressive and driven. Maybe even more intriguing...I think that's why I lean towards his relationship with Lilah, but as far as who's best for him...Fred. Hands down.

Y'know, before she died, and when she did Wesley just stay and cuddled her, untill he got chucked to the other side of the room!
 
Ok people listen up, remember to use spoiler tags outside the spoiler forum, or the episode discussion when that episode has been aired. I have just had to go through nearly every post in here and add the tags, not to mention being spoiled myself.
 
Thats ok, just keep it in mind for future reference. Besides it wasn't just you, as you can see from my edits.
 
Wesley and Fred as a relationship scares me. Wesley is obsessed with her. Past events have shown that if Fred is with someone else Wesley is upset and fantisizing about her. I love Wesley but he is not a very nice man most of the time and seems like serious stalker material to me. When Lilah dressed up like Fred to tease him he told her to "leave the glasses on." That freaked me out completely and convinced me that Fred is too good for him. Pretending to have sex with one woman while screwing another is sick and extemely disturbing.

My other question about Wesley and Fred is how healthy can a relationship be when one partner is completely obsessed with the other? Fred is too nice a girl to end up with Wesley. She tends to be overly trusting towards men and then becomes distraught when they disappoint her. Fred and Gunn broke up because he was willing to kill for her. If Gunn was too pragmatic for Fred, think about Wesley. Fred thinks of Wesley as an idealist who always does what he thinks is right. She admires him. That scares me.

I love Wesley. He is a great and complicated character. Wesley and Lilah were better than Wesley and Fred because Lilah understood him. Oddly I think that Lilah was a nicer person than Wesley. She just saw too many terrible things and had her goodness burned out working for W&H and trying to survive. I've always thought of Lilah as a scarred woman who is just trying to get by in life and stay alive as long as possible. She likes power and is good in command but in reality Lilah does anything she can to survive in W&H and her decisions to seize power are motivated partially by fear. I don't know how much of a choice she had when she joined W&H, and I would love to learn more about Lilah's life. What do you think of my analyisis of Lilah? I'm sure a lot of people read her differently. Wesley made Lilah happy and gave her some security. I'm inclined to vote for Lilah and Wesley. Even though he is obsessed with Fred I think that Wesley did love Lila. Even though their relationship wasn't easy they were good for each other.

That's what I love about Wes: his complexity. And I loved your analysis of Lilah! She always struck me as more "trying to survive" than "cold-hearted", although she could definitly be cruel. But it all comes down to motives. Although, I think Fred makes Wes happy (and therefore, as I stated before, I'm happy for him) it still feels a little weird. Wesley has changed a lot...from pesky watcher to the kick-ass Wes of S4. It's always been like a "take him for what he is in the moment, not what he was" thing for me, at least. Which is why, just maybe, this Fred/Wes thing seems okay to me. I prefer Lilah, though, now that I've really given it some thought. But either way...I enjoyed your Lilah-analysis. 😀
