I am hoping to see several issues that deal with giving the Slayers the realization that they're not Uber, just because they have Slayer powers. I think it's important to deal with the hubris factor some way.
In an RPG idea I've considered running, the slayersquad comes upon a scene, with a late teen/early twenty girl with a disheveled appearance being assaulted by a sword wielding modern warrior looking dude, who seems to be all business. The girl notices the slayersquad before the dude does, and makes like she needs to be rescued, even screaming out how the guy wants to eat her.
Naturally it'll turn out that the warrior dude, who can handily combat the slayersquad, is the 'good guy' and actually the girl is the 'big bad'.
Anyhoo, the point is that I hope that in the comics, they deal with the idea that just because you're a slayersquad, doesn't make you flawless. And that some slayersquads NEED to screw up in order to learn.
