About a year ago or so I read Dawkins "The God Delusion", though there were points I appreciated in it I found it often to be overshadowed by Dawkins own breed of 'fundamentalism' if you will.
So today I picked up "The Dawkins Delusion" by Alister McGrath (atheist turned Christian), it's a fairly short book and I didn't expect much from it, more or less thought it'd be a one-sided argument in a similar spirit as the book it's opposing (but it only felt fair to read both sides), however I have been pleasantly surprised - "The Dawkins Delusion" is an even-tempered and fair portrayal perspicaciously arguing against some of the weaker points that Dawkins himself creates with his own assertiveness.
If you've read the God Delusion, whether you enjoyed it or not, I would recommend for you to also read the Dawkins Delusion. Even if you don't agree with all of McGrath's opinions or view points his text is not only rational but also very allowing of other people's thoughts and feelings. To make his case he doesn't feel the need to be overly derisive or ridiculing other peoples beliefs... he's like a fresh breath air after reading propagandaist works from either side of the debate.
