Charmed S1 (2018 remaster) blu-ray
This is pretty much amazing . I'm not even much of a Charmed fan , but I would pony up the £160 to buy the complete set in a heartbeat in easier times . In the US ,you can stream this remaster on Peacock but the rest of us are stuck with the ropey SD cut for now.

Awesome! Those colors are pretty popping!
The Crown. Worst season so far. Diana is well cast, the rest, meh. Good actors in their own right but I didnt see the characters through them as well as previous seasons. Not a rewatchable for me like the rest of the series.

That really stinks. I was hoping to hear good things about Dominic West’s performance at least.

Inside Man. Just started it.. seems disturbing but also intriguing and I'll finish it today. I just hope it has a finish!

Nope. There's nothing to redeem S5. @Octavia 's "Meh" was generous. To put it in to perspective, I switched off part way through the episode covering the Diana/Bashir interview and returned to a jigsaw puzzle. I'm not enjoying the puzzle but it's less tedious than The Crown.

Lol nice one! I have no interest in it anyway, because I'm sink of the whole obsession about the Royals and as a rule don't really get into period stuff. I'm sure it has merits though, just isn't for me.
Longmire. As far as cop shows go, I like this one.

Got to season 5 (?) with Longmire ,just ran out of steam ,must finish it at some stage . Not bad at all.
Halloween II & III
In a french channel, there's a marathon of Halloween movies each monday(s) nights, this month 👍 . Halloween (1978) to Halloween Resurrection & then Halloween (2018). No remakes (Rob Zombie).

Very nice. Too bad about RZ though. His first one was really good.
1899 Episode 1: The Ship

New series from the makers of Dark. First episode was excellent, i was hooked from the opening scene. It sets up lots of mystery and intrigue, but is also full of great suspense, style and meaty themes. The cast are solid too. Emily Beecham is very engaging, and I also liked the edge the Captain brings to the drama. Its a good example of how to do a weird Sci-fi puzzle box thriller, but do it in a way which hooks the viewer and makes them want to learn the answers to the mysteries.

Wreck (2022) Episode 1: The Ship of Dreams

By contrast this BBC3 series (also set on a ship 😀) is much more toque in cheek and silly. I'd heard it was naff, but actually it had a certain charm to it, the characters were decent enough and the humour not bad. Its only 6 episodes and its easy enough to watch so I'll check out the rest. Oh did I mention there's someone dressed as a Duck killing people? What more could you ask for?!😉
