Finally got back into watching The Crown, somewhere in season 2

I know nothing about the royalty or any of that. Would I still get something out of the show? I’d like to watch because it has good actors in it, but I don’t want to sink time into a show I won’t even understand if that makes sense

I'd suggest it!

I knew almost nothing of the events before Diana's advent, and I loved the show. In fact, I maybe got more out of it, not knowing what was going to happen.

It's a fictionalised retelling of the Royals throughout the years, easy to follow most of the time.

Interestingly enough I actually hated that episode when I first saw it, because the show was so serious until that point. But then they added a one-off joke/comedy episode in subsequent seasons too so it grew on me.
I started watching “Fast n Loud” on Max. It was a Discovery channel show that was about this garage that would buy junkers and flip them into hot rods, but not crazy over the top builds that are way out of budget. Stuff that falls in the $10,000 range, or things that could reasonably be done.

Great show! There are several shows like that.
@Ethan Reigns Absolutely agree. I’m not really a “car guy”, aside from fawning over beauties like the McLaren Senna, but it’s neat seeing these guys get all hot and bothered about a 1953 Cadillac or a 30s racer.

Plus I love how they don’t go the route most of these sorts of programs do, where they take a vehicle and massively soup it up into some high powered monstrosity. I know American Choppers sort of turned into that eventually. I just enjoy seeing Richard and Aaron puzzle out how they can make a $5-6,000 profit on a car whilst also keeping the car’s identity.

Outer Banks s4. I am surprised this got another season! I thought three seasons was a pretty good and fun run. I read online that there were a lot of issues between the cast, so that has taken me out of it a bit. I wonder where else they can go with it. I'm not totally in love with the characters, but I like the adventure and it is a good summer show.

Deadwood

I am also playing Red Dead Redemption 2, so just in a cowboy/western mood I suppose

Just began watching Territory on Netflix. Six episodes, so I will probably watch it all today, seems like it might be my kind of thing. Big trucks, farms and dirt, looks a bit like mad max with them all coming down the driveway like that LOL. We'll see how it goes.

Ginger Snaps. The trilogy. This is one of the ultra-rare trilogies where I like all 3 movies (if in different ways). I consider it an example of how low budget movies can still be good with good actors carrying it.
