what did everyone think of s4?

Hated it...
Riley was blah bleh yuck!
On top of that...the entire season just seemed boring
 
Yea Riley was one of the worst on the show so the season, to me, was boring. I didn't think it was horrible or anything just not one of the best.
 
🙁 I guess i'm alone in thinking that s.4 was the best series by far. Everything was perfect:

The story line was great all the way through and there was some great side-stories like Willow and Tara. The two faith episodes were like the best episodes of buffy ever (my favourites anyway) and spike and the chip totally made the series. If people are saying it 'far down their list' then what's top? S1-3 were held back by the schooliness and s.5-7 went too slow, Buffy's mom dying was well done but sooo boring, in one episode there was like 1 quick fight. So if you compare that to s.4 where every episode was all action then it bewilders me how you can say 'On top of that...the entire season just seemed boring'.

And what's wrong with Riley? This is in another topic so I won't go into too much detail but he was nice and cool and it's not like he was in it too much. He sucked in series 5 but i don't think he ruined s.4 at all.
 
I guess it's just taste. But I can't see how you can watch the Riley/Forrest fight and say that Riley isn't cool. The way he used that gas cannister thing to blow him up was just class.
 
I never got why people hated Season 4 so much, I loved the hell out of it. It's definitely on my favorites list! Okay, so Adam was a sucky big bad, but the Season in itself was pretty damn awesome. I love the way they killed Adam off..."We are forever." That was just awesome! It had ALOT of funny episodes in it. Like Something Blue, and creepy episodes like Hush.
 
I really like this season. I like the fact that it's a little different than the rest of the seasons. There were some really great episodes..."This Year's Girl," "Restless," "Something Blue." Plus, Riley doesn't bug me as much in this season. For the record, I don't like Riley much at all. But in season 5, he bugged me so much more.

Some people don't like "Beer Bad," but I think it's hilarious!
 
Hush was from season four! That was the most scary epp of Buffy ever! I respect what you all are saying, but I really really like this season. I don't really know why myself, other than I felt that it was really entertaining. BTVS is always entertaining but I feel that out of S1-4, S4 was my favorite.
