what did everyone think of s4?

I. . .didn't like Season Four. It had a few great episodes, but to me, that was as far as it went. The characters weren't taken as far as they could've gone, I didn't like the B/R relationship. . .and I don't know the "Initiative" thing was kinda weird to me.

Man, I just don't know why, but I disliked it.
 
I like season four, but not as much as the other seasons (except 7).. It starts good. And I love Willow's season 4.. With Oz and then with Tara. And I love that Anya starts dating Xander and all that. But the big bad of season four wasn't good, and the whole Initiative thing, that was supposed to be the big thing with this season.. Well, it just wasn't good. (Not to mention Riley..)
But there are some great episodes, like Hush, Restless, New Moon Rising.. And I like that Faith is back.
 
Like all Buffy it was a great season. Hush was a totally kick a$$ episode. I didn't love the Adam/Innitative stroyline as much as the others though. The season fanalie was one of the strangest episodes of the entire show.
 
S4 wasn't that bad, it's far from one of the greatsest seasons but it had some really good episodes like Hush, something blue. I like when Spike comes in to the "scoobie gang". I don't get why Buffy and Riley get toghether, I really don't like him, he's like some actionman or something the only differens is that actionmans are good looking! Buffy deserved some one better!
 
I love Season 4, which gave us little Gachnar, Beer Bad, Thanksgiving with cranky Willow and Giles, gorgeous Riley, the first hint of singin' Giles, the wonderful Adam butt-kicking and the very cool season-ending original Slayer dream episode.

True Buffy fans who watched from the first season appreciate all the little inside jokes in the 4th season. I only wish Xander had made his way to college; the whole Xander construction worker thing never worked.
 
It's not one of my favorite seasons, but it does feature at least five of my favorite episodes - "Pangs", "Something Blue", "Hush", "This Year's Girl", and "Who Are You?". Also, I found Riley's struggle to break free of Maggie Walsh and the Initiative's philosophy very interesting, and Spike's struggle to deal with the chip very humorous.
 
Its not a favourite season f mine, as it had Riley in it.

I did love Pangs as that was a brilliant episode with Spike and Angel (Yum)

Restless was another eppy that I liked, I loved Buffy's dream sequence and the hints about Dawn.
 
I use to HATE season four. I thought it was horrible. But recently my mother and I sat down to watch Buffy (starting with s3, my favorite) and we watched season 4. I think it was really consistant. It was a lot better than I had remembered it being. It is now my third favprote season (it used to be last or second to last) after s3, and s6.
 
I actually really liked season four. more than season 3 even. not sure why. the big bad sucks, Riley sucks, the initiative sucks. but other than that this season rocked. for me anyway...
 
Season four is not the best season of the show. Even Joss Whedon said it was a very schizophrenic season. It had its downsides, but it also had a lot of upsides too.

The downsides:
-The Initiative (this was never used as well as it could have been).
-Adam (after the Mayor in s3, this was a big let-down for the season's Big Bad).

The upsides:
-Resolution to Faith's storyline.
-Xander and Anya.
-Tara (ya knew that was coming).
-Quite possibly the best episode ever 'Hush".
-The fractioning and reuniting of the Scoobies.

Season four had a hard act to follow, coming on the heels of what was perhaps the best season of the entire series. But it was not as bad as most people like to make it.
 
I actually enjoy Season 4. It isn't my favorite season but it his higher up there then some. It was just a laid back, low intense season. I think that is why many people don't like it. The villian wasn't all that scary and it didn't have that drive that Season 3 or Season 5 had.
 
I loved every episode of season 4 but i really didnt like the Adam and Intitative bit of season 4 and sometimes riley annoyed me
 
Iliked s4 despite the fact that I found it "slow" that the Initiative was kinda annoying and that I felt bored when there was a Buffy/Riley discussion.
But the coming of Tara, the harmless Spike and seeing Giles drunk was worth it... 😉
