What do you do to unwind?

Knitting is not going well, I can do the first row, but lose the stitches when trying to do the next one. Grr I used to be able to knit as a child, so why can't I do it now!

SUNDAYS! I NEED MY SUNDAYS! So - bit of back story - I lived on a religious property for almost a decade. All work and shopping and excessive socialisation was not allowed on sundays. I adopted this into my lifestyle while I lived there. Sundays were our super quiet day, and we didnt work. When I moved on from there, I worked 7 days a week, then moved into the city where it was never any work and a 24/7 lifestyle of shops and a events and just extreme social life. I used the net to escape the madness of but never had the ability to make myself STOP with so much going on around me. Now I live in a christian driven place where everything is shut on a sunday, and most dont work. Even the hwy is dead quiet. I realised today how much I need this complete halt to my life once a week.

I started telling the lonely beer drinkers that I use sunday to pray and meditate so I wont answer the door when they knock. But I would answer the door to the Jehovah's because they are on the same page about what Sundays are to me. It's not as if I do jack shit on a sunday, it's not a lazy day. I still did a fair bit of house and garden work today - but the halt and silence of the place reminds me to do these tasks mindfully. SO I can rest in the moment of it. I really do not want to forget about my sundays, hopefully typing it somewhere will remind me that I need a total stop day every week- a complete day where it is mine alone, to keep the balance.
