Second everything you said there KD.My favourite ep, no doubt...but I'm a sucker for musicals...it was the turning point of S6 in a lot of ways...everyone finds out where Buffy was, Tara finds out about Willow, setting up that for later, ditto with Anya/Xander, and Giles leaving.
Yup. I always think that it won't be as fun to watch this episode as it used to be since we watch it so much, but it never gets boring, everytime I hear the music start I just get filled with excitement.. It's just such an intense episode with so much going on and all the songs and dancing around (and extra shiny colors).Second everything you said there KD.
Me and Joamna watch this episode very often. Well at least once a month, and I keep expecting to get at least a little bit bored with it, but I never do. It's just, genius.

he and buffy both sing a part at the end, but im not sure what that's called.
How do you mean "don't make sense" ? 🙂See although parts of it don't make sense(Xander!!!)
True, doesn't make sense (didn't get that that's what "Xander!!!" meant 😉 ). Doesn't bother me too much though, or, doesn't make me love the episode any less..Because its meant to be Xander that called Sweet yet all through the episode he has no idea whats going on. Its an M. Night Whatisname type twist. Thrown in at the end but makes no sense.
OMWF was amazing, daring television. I remain awed at that creation of Joss Whedon and the talents he brought out in his cast.
I know what you mean, it's great just to have the possibility. I can almost never afford to do those things, but it's great to live somewhere where it's actually possible...Still, I'm happy I live close enough to NYC to go see something if I really want to.

Could this have been done without a musical?
Surely the writers had done plenty of episodes prior to this with no singing. Did this one have to be done this way?
