What exactly was Buffy mad about?

I generally agree. I think at the very least it can be argued that she didn't love him in S6 but my main issue is, if First Date was her first admission, why was it so without sentiment? Are we to believe that she went from being adamant that she couldn't love Spike to admitting it to her self and then acting as if it's the normal expected thing. I would have thought it would be a big deal, admitting her true feelings for Spike. Now others argue that it was a slip of the tongue that revealed her true feelings. I sometimes however believe a slip of the tongue can be just that.

As I've said before, Spuffy deserves more than this. The first time she said she loved Riley or Angel, it was heartfelt but this was played out as a joke. That's why I choose to think it was a slip of the tongue otherwise, I'd feel even more sorry for Spike. I, too, like the idea that Chosen is where is finally admits her true feelings. It's heartfelt and beautiful.

Well said, Kana! I think everything that she and he never got to say to one another was finally felt rather than said in "Chosen" when they held hands. Heck, that was pretty much a lot bigger and better than sex. I think those seconds really showcased all of the love in their relationship and it was beautiful for how that moment the world seemed to just disappear and it was only the two of them.

It's a pretty common "ex" experience that even though we've broken up with someone, told ourselves we've moved on and no longer feel for them...seeing them with someone else is still unbelievably hard. It still pains me to see my ex who gave me Chlamydia on purpose with another guy! People are sick creatures...

While I think that's true, I also think that that's not the whole reason, although it may be a part of it. Buffy was jealous, and so was Xander. That being said, I felt it to be incredibly immature of them. They were the ones that broke up with their respective counterparts, no matter what reason they saw. They had no right to be angry or hurl insults or at Spike and Anya. I was actually really glad when Spike stood up for Anya. Granted, it made Buffy mad at him, and Xander angry and shocked, but it was getting pretty annoying, the way that Xander and Buffy were treating those two.

Of course they were jealous. That's what makes us hurt or angry to see certain people together in an intimate way. It's exactly what I said above...it's the "ex" thing. Even though they're out of our lives they take a bit longer to be completely erradicated from our hearts. I don't think it was immature at all...it was a human response.

Xander did leave Anya at the altar, but he didn't "break up with her" in his eyes (as silly as that is). He made attempts to repair their relationship and Anya rebuffed his offer and then went and had sex with the guy Xander hates more than anybody. It'd be hard not to take that personally...and of course he'd be angry.

Buffy told Spike they were done...but then him going off and having sex with one of her friends? Come on now, you'd be mad and hurl insults too.
