What If Xander Became Gay Instead Of Willow...

Personally im about ready to see male homosexuality portrayed realistically on tv (Will&Grace is so annoying) I think it would have made as much sense to put Spike and Xander together - they had such similar issues in seaon 4.

Also, perhaps if people stop pussyfootin' around the topic, acting like heterosexuals are too easily offended and fragile to see male male hugs and kisses, we would all be a lot stronger and tolerant. Come on, that's not being fair to heterosexuals, its being stereotypical towards them, as if they are all undereducated gay bashers, which they are not. You usually have to see something a few times before you can get used to it.

Sure Xander says and does gay stuff sometimes.....Ok a lot of the time but Xander gay just doesn't work for me. Plus the whole construction worker thing....come on, it would be like they were trying way to hard.

On the lesbian debate:
Why is it that two women together turns men on so much? I mean two guys together doesn't make me feel the all tingly. Most women don't think about gay men to get their happy on so why do guys? What is wrong with the heterosexual men in this world?

I would love Xander to be gay! Him and Andrew would've made a good couple. Although i still like him and Anya together. He should have been bisexual.

People are more okay with lesbians then gay men,its weird but they are. My friend (male) is quite happy to talk all about lesbians but think gay men are "weird" for what they do (and as he once said "What can they do?" but thats a different story)

Men are generally insulted/joked about being gay, as a high school student whos not mr popular and not the typical blokish kind gay is an overused insult .

Anyway, Xander gay would of been intresting, but I think Willow suited the gay type more, she was shy and unsure of herself in high school and Xander seemed more confident with his sexuality

The plan was to have either Willow or Xander come out in Season 4. In Season 3, Willow and Oz's relationship was working just fine and Xander and Cordy had broken up. So they were indeed moving Xander into that direction. I mean, Xander had called Angel handsome on numerous occaisions, he was a little too excited when that basketball player knew his name, and the comic scene when Larry thought Xander was coming out to him. So the writers were having trouble deciding who would be gay. Then Oz left, and Anya came back in Season 4. Xander was suddenly in a position to be more much heterosexual, and Tara joined the series.

I guess I could've found a way to live with it, though as much as I hate to say it, Willow being gay made more sense than if Xander had turned out gay.

Well...I thought Xander would be more likely to be gay then willow because Jesse(Xanders best friend) dies in ep. welcome to the hellmouth, and i though xander and jesse were tighter than willow and jesse, andwhen willow and xander got cought making out in lovers walk, Oz forgave Willow and Cordelia..didnt...Alot more happened to Xander then willow...But maybe the past has nothing to do with your sexuality....It seems to me it does tho...But hey.Thats just me!
