Nightbird is a shorter version of my 360 gamertag NightBirdFlying, which I picked off the back of a Jimi Hendrix CD as I was stumped for ideas, I dropped the flying from my BB name as everyone on xbox just called me NightBird.

No really interesting story about my username. The ma part stands for Melanie Ann, which is my first and middle name. The second part Marsh is my last name, and 18 is my number in soccer and happens to be my favorite number.
So nothing too special it is just something easy for me to remember, and I basically use it for everything. :]

Well it's a long story. I took it from Restless. Apparently not that long. Seriously though, the Cheese guy is iconic to me.

Well I got it from the movie Children of Men which I LOVE.
Basically the first pregnant woman in 18 years is thinking of a name for her child, the dialogue goes something like this:
"I want to name him Froley"
"He's the first baby in 18 years, you can't name him Froley..."
The double o is just kinda random...

My username holds no great or compelling mysteries.
When I first registered here, I wanted to use "The Master", but it was already taken. So I switched "The" to "Old", because...well...the character is old, and at the time I registered I think I was older than MOST of he members then (still am xD 😛) and voila!

Well, it's pretty much been the same monicker ever since I've been here, with minor differences. It was just "Old Master" at the start.
A few weeks after I registered here I left the BB for some strange reason I no longer remember....and I requested my account be deleted. But the addiction to this place had taken hold, and after three months away from here, I ended up re-registering with my old name and added a "2.0" to it to denote my second incarnation. 😛
"3.0" denotes the third version of "Old Master" after my ascension to Mod and later SuperMod status. :: tu :: 😛

It's from Babylon 5, one of my other favorite shows. In an early episode, there's an alien that comes to the station that's from a race known as "Soul Hunters." Basically, they sense when someone is dying, and, if it's someone they feel is special, they arrive at the time of death and capture the soul to add to their collection. They see it as preserving greatness, but some other races don't.
But anyway, the Soul Hunter is talking about the souls they save, and the quote goes: "Not all, only the special ones - leaders, thinkers, poets, dreamers, blessed lunatics."
I just...thought that was both funny and somewhat profound, in a way. That lunatics would be considered blessed and special to an alien race - that they'd see something there that the rest of the world doesn't. Maybe the lunatics aren't so crazy after all.
It's also my url on Tumblr, and since I know people here from there, thought it would just make things easier to use it here as well! 🙂

Last year my sister got me a fob watch on a necklace for me for my Birthday from this site that sells various things and there's different sellers, and there was this little card inside the box that said 'The Whimsical Wren' and well I've loved it ever since, and well I decided to use it as a username.
My real name is Luthien and that was taken, so I wanted one of my cat's names.
Illyria was taken (not surprisingly) and the next name so I landed on was Quinn.
