:rolfkit:

For breakfast most of us have a Full English Breakfast which looks like this

bkfst.jpg

Which consists of Bacon, Beans Eggs (Fried or Scrambled) toast, hash browns, sausages, fried tomato and mushrooms.

Tradtional English Cuisine is:

Fish & Chips, preferably Cod

Cottage Pie

and my favourite a tradional Sunday Roast Dinner(although you don't have to eat it on a sunday), be it beef, chicken, pork or lamb 😀

Here is Roast Beef

Hope I have been of help

Different shapes and forms of chicken and if you are really lucky you can get different shaped chips as well. And every now and then some type of pie.

Breakfast; Egg, beans, toast, bacon.

At least that's my opinion of the eating habits of the Brits.

No offence (whenever a girl says "no offence" it's because she's about to offend you) but english food is really gross. I haven't eaten english food in england, but my sister used to live together with this guy named Marc and he was from Cardiff and once he made us "typpical" english food and it was all greasy and ew. I didn't like it at all, except from the chips in the fish and chips. He didn't like it either, he just wanted to show us how gross it was. Hm...

Some fry ups are greasy but thats only because of the amount of fat the cooks put into the pan etc.

I am sure you have eaten greasy take away for instance burgers, and huge fats ones at that, also chinese etc.

If you don't like fatty greasy food, steer clear of cafes.

Otherwise we have KFC, Burger King MacDonalds etc but pub dinners are the best.

Ham Egg and CHips is nice 🙂

Hehe, I don't get how people can eat that much in the mornings. I eat like bread and that makes me feel sick so.. Well, I just can't eat that early.. And to eat real food in the morning is just really really weird to me, lol 🙂

yeah i would be offended if your argument had any merit 'my sister says its icky so i better not think for myself on this one' yeah thinking hurts 🙁

you have no idea how you crack me up. Cardiff of yes cardiff that typical english town. not only is cardiff not in england its the capitol of another country, so your saying

"i once had a meal i didnt like in WALES but im sure the country down the road must only have horrible cusine as well"

ever thought this guy just couldnt cook and you were too stupid to realise? :compsmili

actually its lot easier to post when you don't have to think about how it would work in reality 8)

all americans are like totally fat (not like kewl phat just fat) my sisters uncles brothers cat once told me he went to america and said they bought chemicals to make them not fat but it didnt work and they had to import canadia people to act in all their films so people wouldnt realise. then they tried to get the real americans to do the voice overs but they were to fat to fit in the booths so they had to import south africans to do impressions...

now as for WELSH food.... 😛

(and obviousely like NO OFFENCE!)

No offence, wise guy, but did you even read my post? Please, read first; behave like an asshole later. FIY: he cooked ENGLISH food... EEENGLISH. He was nevertheless british so it counts damnit :P
I kinda have to agree with Faldor.

Americans are actually much more worse when it comes to food.

You have super super super size Big Macs and I saw an article on this huge burher which had fat dripping off of it by the gallon.

Out here we are quite consious of what we eat. Our McD's over here actually has a healthy option menu where you can have fruit salad etc.

No Offence 🙂

well that really makes me feel wanted :lol2:

but shush about the multi-nation corprate evil lov, ya not helping the case!

you know you can't actually digest that stuff right and if you eat it everyday it causes a backlog in your system so undigested food is in your body from near where it comes out going back up your rib cage...

yeah thats why AMERICAN food is so great. cheers for the fast food infiltration guys

See cause im weird and alternative: breakfast- nothing, lunch- cheese sandwich (or pastie if im at work), tea/dinner- chips and something vegetarian.

Yeah I don't really obide by the traditions of English food. To be honest you'll probably be better off going for a pub lunch if you want something traditional that has a chance of being decently cooked.

LOL your answers where refreshing. and talking about food in a really FUn way... i love that! 😉

thanx ash(i'm gonna call you ash 😉! for your answer... :witch3:

TheChosenOne: thanx! i love the pics! beter then imagining it.. Lol i HATE beans on toast. iw as served that by the fam i lived with when i was in cambridge. idon't like beans to start with and on towst LOL

polexia: dont mind you, or anyone, calling me ash.

faldor: you can't beat Greggs pasties and you know it 😛 Nah honestly real ones are probably better but as I only eat cheese and onion ones, and its rare people make 'real' ones of those then I'll go with the bad-for-you packaged ones.

Ohmigosh yes, Greggs Pasties.

I love them esp the chicken ones 😀

Polexia you are welcome.

You have to try a Full English though, just tell them no beans 😀

Also try out a pub lunch.

The scary thing is...apparently the favourite English food (according to recent polls😉) is Chicken Tikka Masala...which is strange, because although it sounds like an Indian dish, it was created by Indian restaurateurs to appeal to Brit tastes and is not a genuine Indian dish...personally, I like a good fry-up (as illustrated above) but I prefer Indian, Italian or Chinese...
I'm not actually sure that there is much in the way of traditional English food about these days but I'll nominate steak and kidney pie (or pudding if your arteries can handle it 🙂)

He might not be a good cook, and the fact that he didn't like it he could have been making it worse on purpose. From what you said about your experience with english food its not much of a basis for evaluation. The food is more than breakfasts and fish and chips.

The food isn't that bad, they are aware of healthy eating down in London. You can find anything from pub grub, restaurants, sushi bars, vegetarian/vegan restaurants. And of course your high street fast food outlets.

As for America they are pretty much the same. Yeah they have your dripping with fat food, but also your healthier stuff to. I can only speak for New York as thats where I was but I spent 10 minutes trying to find a pint of milk to use for coffee. There was low carb milk, no carb, half and half (whatever that is), and those were the ones I could remember. A whole cabinet with different types. Then there is your low carb chocolate etc.

I know, I know. But I like complaining. So sue me for not liking grease...
Being Brittish I've gotta be slightly offended by the 'all English food is yuck' comment- however, I guess you were just eating the wrong thing for you. I've lived here my whole life and I have a tendancy to steer clear of the greasy places- if I see that a meal is 'dripping with fat' then there's no way I'd eat it- gotta have standards!!
I'm not sure on any of our traditions- but I'd say we're on the right tracks with the cornish pasty- I like them- they have a bit of history to them- plus they're delicious (although- just the veggie ones for me!!)
Anyway- sorry you didnt like Brittish food doppelgänger, maybe it's just not for you...

Finally someone who realized that not everybody gotta love brittish grease... Hoho just kidding :P I'm sure it's absolutely yummy if you're into it
When I think of England I think of tea. 😀 Also english breakfast with bacon and eggs and stuff like that. But mostly tea. I love England! They have great food! 😀

I prefer my Scottish breakfast, much like your English breakfast but with potato scones, blackpudding and haggis. Although I don't touch the haggis.

Sure a couple of our foods are grease infested but no more then american food. Personelly my diet consists of nothing for breakfast, sandwhich for lunch and something out of the oven for tea lol. I mean last night I had Oven chips, steak and peas, one of my fav meals that one.
