What is worth seeing in London?

summer:cool!(about the ex pupil!) and i haden't even thought about that, going to a show...! thanx!!! i'm gonna take that up with my better half 😉
 
My fav thing (weird I know) is the Tower of London. Just cool to be there.

Avoid the Hippodrome on gay night (unless you are of course 😉).

Madame Tussaud's was cool.

I would avoid the zoo unless it's changed since I've been there - it was sort of in depressing condition.

Hyde Park is great to just go hang out in. Shelly's for shoes, Hamley's for toys.

Above all - go to a good pub, and on Sunday have English roast. 🙂
 
Warwick is sooo impressive!!! That's about the only thing I visited in the UK aloong with the house of Shakespeare's mother, lol, but i remember it very well... that was sooo big!!!

Er, I have a question about London... 2 actually (poly, I hope you don't mind my using your thread 🙂 )

Does anyone know how I can get from the airport : London Stansted (STN) to downtown (London)... I know that there is the Tube to go then to London Heathrow, but for STN, I wondered.

Does anyone know if there a hotel or something less expensive than the Youth Hotel, because I've looked online & found nothing, but I know that often the less expensive hotel are not listed on the net.

ooo and i wonder... can anyone recomend any book stores(or places that sells NOTEBOOKS or JOURNALS.. i'm a journal/notebook junkie, so to speak... LOVE*EM! 😉)

And don't forget - you'll get intimately acquainted with the Tube, another London highlight. It has a special "breakdown" service for tourists during the hottest months of the year!
