Mine is a different, Embarrassingly different, way! But it works.

Its a "natural alarm"!

I drink about 800 to 1200 ml of water before I go to bed. The normal capacity of the bladder is 400 to 600 ml. So I drink twice as much as I can hold.

It typically takes 8-10 hours before you 'have to' pee. How Long Can You Go Without Peeing? I drink more water than my bladder's capacity. I 'have to' pee in about 5-6 hours (once my bladder is full).

It takes about 1/2 an hour to an hour for you to 'digest' water. How long does it take for fluids to enter your stomach, and then bladder, after drinking?

I am lazy. I hold it in for an easy hour, just so that I sleep more!

Collectively, I can't hold it anymore in 6 to 8 hours. I have to get up.

Coincidentally, this time is exactly equal to the hours of sleep an adult needs!

Disclaimer: I am not a doctor. I have been doing this since I was in 10th grade. It works. But - if you end up in an 'accident', I am not responsible 😀

Omg, I have a small bladder so if I did that I'd be up 3-4 times during the night to pee.

I just set a few alarms a couple minutes apart making it hard to go back to sleep.

Depends on if I have been out for a beer before hand.........😳

I have always been able to survive on very little sleep (product of doing shift work for 37 years!) so I normally only sleep for 3-4 hours max anyway......
I know I'm just weird 😕

As for waking up at a certain time...as long as I remember to set an alarm it will wake me up....or at least it's never failed yet!

Omg, I couldn't function on 4 hours of sleep!

LOL yer booze has an effect!

Alarms do not always work for me or my friend so we text each other on school mornings to make sure we both up to get the kids to school.... tbh it normally ends up with me going round to her door and banging and calling her at the same time to wake her up if she oversleeps lol!! The distance between the doors incase you were wondering is about 80cm lol!!!!!!

😀 Sounds like a good system........

I used to have to get up at 05:00 for Early shifts.......no one was going to wake me up at that ungodly hour so it's a good job alarm clocks work for me 🙂

5am...ouchy, I have enough issues at 7am lol
I don't believe in alarm clocks, nowadays the dawn chorus wakes me up. Kookaburra's Galah's and them ruddy Magpie's make the dead go back to the grave, what a din they make.

I use my alarm on my phone. Sometimes I'll set a second alarm just in case. I have to pee at least twice before I go to sleep, and I usually wake up early to pee anyways, then go back to sleep. So that method would not work for me. Lol. I'm a heavy sleeper, until I have to use the bathroom. Lol. My cousin use to squirt water in my face to wake me up. Lol

I'm a real light sleeper.....it's weird, doing shift work meant sleeping during the day quite often. I found I could easily sleep through any kind of noise from outside....but if the missus walked into the room, even if she made no sound, I would wake up. Used to really creep her out 🙂

The furry alarm clock is excellent, and mostly accurate but sometimes she's a little over-zealous (3am, 4am, 5am then 6am!) 🙄

A regular alarm clock works for me. I have a super tacky one too, thinking about replacing it with something more adult 😀

My furry alarm clock is useless. I mean she wakes me up by coming to stand next to my bed (yes, I'm that light of a sleeper. A wagging tail wakes me up ) but once she gets permission she then just jumps up and cuddles down, and pretty much serves as an anti-alarm clock.

Mine does that too, she comes under the covers and snuggles in - it's like having a furry hot water bottle! She's done that ever since she was a kitten and it's so super cute I've never actually wanted to try to stop her doing it.

But, she also bangs doors, scratches sheets, howls.... if she wants me to be awake I must be awake. Basically I live my life around her and her requirements 🙄😀

Well you know what they say....Cats don't have owners, just staff! :)

Once, as a teenager, I actually thought that if I just ignore the family cat (wanting to come inside through my window in the middle of the night) she'll go to someone elses window and they'll let her in.
No. Such. Luck.
Only.Louder. Meowing.And. Scratching

Basically, resistence is futile. Fear the feline overlord 😛

Then, once inside the cat would rub its cold, wet fur against you. And it would smile, ever wondered where the saying - smiling like a Cheshire Cat - came from?

Yeah, mine does that too.....normally about 10 mins before you need to get up........

Resistance is Feline!

My cats like to wake me up by playing in the window blinds which are right behind my bed. And sometimes they wake me up around 7-8 am to feed them. Ugh. Lol.

I call our (mostly black) cat 'ninja kitty', cause it likes to sneak up and pounce when it wants petted. LoL 😛
