What Laws Would You Make If You Were In A Position To Do So?

The two laws I have long believed in:

You should have to take tests to be able to vote.
You should have to take tests to be able to procreate.

Who would set the voting test?

Convincing someone to procreate with you is the test.

Good point. I presumed the test would be set by your nearest fascist.
People who are massively wealthy should be required to donate food and clothing to families who are less fortunate. At least once a month.

Pitbulls should be banned EVERYWHERE.

Hey not all pitbulls are bad!

What kind of tests? It’s an inalienable right of the people of the United States to vote.

Are you saying “dumb” people shouldn’t be able to vote or have children?

Just a basic test on american politics (and maybe the candidates if you have to retest every four years like a drivers license) The kind of stuff you would learn in high school. Like name the three branches of government, etc.

Nope. That's not what I am saying at all.

Well it would be a start...

My favorite one, I've heard was on a BBC radio show.

Essentially it went ...When a person reaches a Billion they just reset the system, they won the game, they don't need any more money for the rest of their lives, they win so after the point of earning a billion literally every penny just goes back into the system, you keep your billion but anything else is 100% tax.

'My' law would be to make it mandatory to have some kind of system where everyone had to walk a week in another mans shoes, CEO's of restaurants had to work in the kitchens, Moaning vegans had to work a week on farm, politicians had to live on food benefits that sort of thing.

We're all a walking sack of water, would be nice for us all just to see that.

I'd have all class sizes for comprehensive schools cut in half, so I think the average here is 30 children in a class, I'd say the maximum should be 15 children in a class because the private schools always boast about how small their class sizes are and it's sometimes 10 or fewer children in a class.

Employees get to discuss salaries with each other each month.

Mental health is a priority, lots more funding into it so it becomes cheaper and more accessible for people to access therapy and other support services.
Moptop Nope, the amount of my salary is nobody's business but my own. This makes for a very unstable and dangerous work environment!.

I don't think Tamsin is saying you have to, just that you can. And in the US there are laws prohibiting employers from denying/punishing people who do so.

Only if you're overpaid or fear being called out for being under qualified for the salary you are given.

Being open about salaries is wholesomely positive and makes for a significantly more stable and harmonious work environment, the only people that benefit from salary secrecy are companies who manage to underpay their staff through NDA's and keep them on minimal salaries. I broke our company policy and posted our salaries through a "mistaken email" when I discovered one of your junior team was being paid minimum wage whilst working on several major accounts.

There's literally no reason NOT to discuss salary unless you're not worthy of the salary you're earning

We at Black Thorn have submitted a new law for approval.

All Sineyans are to be imprisoned with quintuple life sentences immediately. No appeals or parole allowed! You menaces to society are too dangerous to be out on the streets.

There's a basket of free pads and tampons in my gym's bathroom, it's really cool. They should do that in all girls public bathrooms.
A small cafe I go to when I'm in Chester (shout out to Rainbow Rooms) has free pads, tampons and condoms in its gender neutral bathroom. It also has a changing mat for babies and it's disability compliant.

Buffy, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Eliza Dushku fans only have to work 2 days a week, the other 5 days are for watching Buffy, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Eliza Dushku movies. And they get paid double the salary.
