What network would you rather have air Dollhouse

I was thinking NBC too. Hopefully if Dollhouse i axed from FOX Joss will go to NBC
 
I'm just glad it's airing and FOX is giving it a shot. Their was a preview for Dollhouse on FOX that sad it was FOX's new hit series. I don't know if that means anything, but it's sounds like they arn't going to can it. For now, anyway.
 
Nobody has said the CW? I would have preferred it there, not the largest budget for a television show.. but then I wouldn't have so much anxiety on whether or not Fox's and its' 'business only' ways would cancel it simply because of a bad episode here or there.
 
To me it doesn't make a difference what network airs it. If one is going to watch it, they're going to tune in to whatever channel it is. And not everyone has hbo (I do, but it's cause I'm a tv Wh***). So, I think Fox is as good of a station as any right now. It's up to the people!
 
I agree about NBC i mean Heroes sucks now, like really it's very very bad, and it's not in much danger of cancellation.

But i also think HBO might be a good fit for Joss, he doesn't get along with networks, and networks don't get along with him. i mean it took over a YEAR before willow and tara could kiss. Plus, i don't think a HBO show HAS TO have alot of sex in it, it just can, and considering Joss made this show for/with Eliza, i think he would be respectful of her choice to not do a nude/graphic sex scene.
 
yea HBO=freedom, something Joss needs. I wont go into it again (see previous posts) but network TV puts most shows at a disadvantage. Instead of being the directors/creators vision, it will ALWAYS be a manipulation/contortion of what it could be.

And those saying they wouldnt be able to watch it, 15 bucks a month is hardly gonna kill ya, im pretty broke but wouldn't mind spending that to see decent television... and decent movies.
 
HBO, Showtime or NBC seems to be a best fit after reading everyones post. The HBO Showtime channels allow more freedom but less episodes and NBC allows more episodes but with less freedom but a better guarentee that it could at least go 5 seasons or more without the risk of cancellation
 
ABC, that network seems to have the best shows on it and Dollhouse should be on that network or change its time slot maybe Wednesdays just a thought.Lipstick Jungle was on Fridays and they are going back and forth about it being cancelled.
 
I'd much rather the show be on HBO or Showtime. Imagine the POSSIBILITIES Joss Whedon could do with THAT much UNlimitation! - however, I don't have HBO or Showtime, so like any other HBO or S-T show that I love... I'd watch it on DVD. 😀

Hell ... I don't watch Dollhouse on Friday nights anyway. I DVR the show & watch it on Saturdays so I can skip those floggingboringass commercials. Dig? 😀
 
I would say ABC but their promoting department has sucked so much this year. They basically helped push viewers away from their shows this year imo.

I would have to say TheCW since I feel it would be the safest there. The ratings would be lower than what they are now but atleast its chances of survival would be greater and I wouldnt constantly worry about hearing about a cancellation every week.

I'm actually glad it's on FOX. They've treated it well so far and FOX has always had creatively superior shows and this show just feels like "FOX" to me, in a good way. This show would not fit on The CW, IMO, it seems to adult.
 
It's really not about networks, I don't think. Instead, it's about the *people* on the network. FOX, CBS, NBC, etc... it means nothing unless you take into account the people who are in charge etc. at that point in time. If FOX people were on a different network, it wouldn't make a difference if his shows were there.

Yes, and right now FOX is being run by some good executives. Kevin Reilly is a great president.
