What should Whedon do now?

I'll echo this, with the addition that he should stay away from anything to do with woods, cabins and horror.

You're saying you don't like Cabin in the Woods ?!?!? 😱

Also my answer is more or less "whatever he wants."

I'm not big on musicals or Shakespeare mind, but otherwise if he's passionate about it I'm sure I'll be into it. A TV show with an ensemble would be ideal.

Cabin in the Woods is great! 😀

Et tu, clone? (though of course you do like Cap, so what did I expect :P)
At least you can disown her. I can't disown my weirdo clone. I feel like flying to Stockholm, tying her to a chair and making her watch Cabin in the Woods and Winter Soldier on repeat until she admits she likes them and has been fibbing all this time to try to differentiate herself from me (clearly I'm the superior clone)

How can you not like Winter Soldier.... I mean come on @Taake! It's the best film in the MCU! That alone tells everyone she's a total looney toon.

I am liking for Winter Soldier, Cabin in the Woods... not so much

Winter Soldier is a great film and Team Cap all the way ;-)

Looney? Miss Sanity Fair thank you very much! If you had a soul I'd eat it, young lady!
Haha, I'm saying Cabin in the Woods was a big pile of garbage. Just terrible.
I don't know. I've gone through garbage on occasion and have found useful things that I repurposed. I would say it was more like a big, steamy pile of dung.

I feel like I need to rewatch Cabin to see why everyone hates it so much.... I just don't get it. Does not compute. Can anyone explain why it's so loathed?

Beat me, I love Cabin in the Woods.

As both a Whedon fan and a horror fan it's perfect little movie.

Poorly written. Poorly directed. Poorly edited.

There is a reason why the film sat on the shelf and the studios did not want to put it out.

I largely disagree with all of that. This is so weird. This is the first place I've ever been where the general opinion on that movie was negative.

Everyone else I know likes to loves it.

If it's so bad and the studio hated it so much, how do you explain this?

The Avengers.

What, Thor and his mates threw down a can on whoopass on all the critics?! None of the reviews I read mentioned anything about The Avengers....

A 92% fresh rating is something never before seen on a "rubbish" movie with poor writing, poor direction and poor editing.

Just no more Joss movies. Sam can roll them out til the cows come home.

First time for everything I guess. But it probably has before, I just haven't gone back to look at it. The premise of the movie is good and that, I feel, is what people are reacting to rather than what is presented. If it were directed by someone other than a first time director I think many of the issues I have would no longer be there.

Cabin in the woods seems to divide people quite a lot but I wouldn't say that it's hated on the boards. You just haven't gotten that many opinions yet. The critics I follow seem to love it though. Personally I'm not a horror fan at all so it's not like my favourite movie. I enjoy the beginning best.

Dont worry.. its not really a horror film. Of course it's not a comedy either. It doesnt really know what it is.
Cabin in the Woods was a bit all over the place for me. I just couldn't get into it. I'd have been disappointed if I'd paid to see it at the cinema.

I paid to see it at the movies and it disappointed me. Then I paid a friggin second time to go back and try to figure out why everyone loved it and still could not figure out the appeal. I thought maybe I missed something the first time.
