When I listen to music, I prefer the presentation and content much more than who performs it (as long as they're good, of course). I prefer ballads and instrumentals, as long as it isn't too loud or what my dear sainyed mother called "loud." Primarily, if the music soothes me, I'm happy. I don't like irritating music.

Because I jsut can't be bothered to think about this, I'll give you my 50 most played artists according to Last.fm. It's a nice collection of wildly different genres. There are some bands I don't really listen to anymore (At the Gates, Funker Vogt, Das Ich) and there are some bands missing (Crystal Castles, Does it offend you yeah, foo fighters) but all in all, it's a nice overview. Rammstein is my all time favourite band. I like the mix of industrial and rock. I also like all kinds of metal. And all kinds of electronic music, from electro to EBM. And the Beatles. Yeah, that's about it 😉
