What You Don't Like

Once biten...

Ah. (In case you're wondering, I really am I twelve year old girl who DOESN'T bite and is almost... Normal. 😀 )

So far, I haven't had any bad experiences on the internet (well, involving anybody else, anyway, when I was seven something not good happened... But I digress. 😀 ) and I hope that you won't either in the future. 🙂 You're much too amazing to have anybody do anything but love and worship you, and don't you forget it girl. 😀

Any other situation I am fairly positive it would have been a request rather than a demand but it was an emotionally hightened situation. In a night he had nearly left, she had plunged into the ocean and the Judge had been raised. I think being polite had been passed about 5 exits ago 😉

Very true, there is a time and place for sensitivity, and there is a time and place where you have to be more serious.

See!! This is what I have been saying for YEARS! lol

FINALLY!

😛

Ma'am, we've had a breakthrough! (sw) Finally, the truth has gotten through my thick skull! (And this is actually me being serious, in case you're wondering. 🙂 )

You're like my Yoda now Kean, I have this weird feeling of euphoria at finally getting it! It's like I'm in math class and I just figured out an equation that seemed so difficult at the time, but now I'm realizing that the answer was right in front of me the whole time!!!

Wow, this is cool. Seriously, I'm grinning like an idiot right now, I think that my face is going numb from my GIGANTOR smile. (sw) This is so... Amazing! *Claps*

Really, Kean, you're so motivational, I have NO idea how you get through to me the way that you do. 😀
Kean agrees: I'm sneaky and relentless 😛 Don't get carried away though hun, I'm about as motivational as a toaster! Do your own thing and you'll be all good 🙂

Lol, I'll take your word for it. 😉 Still, it's like, my whole world has been altered by this epiphany... Heh, OK, calming down, finding my inner non-spaz. :tongue3:

I'm running out of things that I don't like about Bangel... *Scurries out of thread*

Yay, congrats WO! :D
I think that if they are assertive is because they care for each other.Buffy is the Slayer but Angel has always been protective of her. And In Surprise the "Can I...Let me see?" is just ADORABLE!:giggle:
He doesn't want to make her feel uncomfortable by looking at her naked shoulder but he really wants to see if she is hurt. I understand that.He is not aggressive, like"I wanna see you without clothes RIGHT NOW!". They are both shy in that scene!!! Oh my God Wishing Oceans you brought me some new love for that scene!!!

True, maybe that's it. To be honest, I never really considered them to be friends, but now that I think about it... They did have a strong bond of trust, companionship, and unconditional love. They weren't "best pals" or something like that, but they did care about each other and want the best for each other in a way that's so similar to friendship that I'm starting to reconsider that "never friends" thing.

About that...yeah, my child, you really understand some of the Bangel essence!!!

PS: And btw, Bangel is probably the last couple in the Buffyverse that is characterised by assertiveness and commanding each other to do anything...I have never seen anything more sweet than Buffy and Angel together in this show.

"Forever. That's the whole point. I'll never leave. Not even if you kill me."

^ That quote may be the freakiest "romantic" thing I've ever read/heard. (sw)

^ It's not romantic IMO. Buffy is having a dream. And she feels shitty and terribly guilty for killing re ensouled Angel. So, her conscience is speaking through the dream. She would love him forever. And then the "kill" word appears.

Wait, what episode was it in again? Perhaps it would sound less sociopathic and creepy if I heard it in context. 😀

GrrArghx3 agrees: Anne.

Ah, thanks, I'll rewatch that episode tonight. 🙂

Anne, Buffy has run away to LA and is plagued by dreams of Angel hating her for sending him to Hell anc crippled by her guilt.

That particular clip is in Buffy and Angel videos on you tube.

True Buffy wasn't very good in the relationship department when it came to give and take but I also think that Buffy would slip into slayer mode when she didn't need to. Perhaps some of her training should have been when to turn off the watchfulness. Or perhaps Buffy was just used to calling the shots. IMO

The only thing that comes to mind is in Sanctuary. She seemed like she was deliberately trying to hurt him and that irritated me.

There's not a lot I don't like either to be honest. And I was also contemplating saying something pretty similar to what you said about how Bangel is treated by others, that is honestly what I find most irritating.

And your mention of season six - I don't like we didn't get to see or hear of that interaction. There were blatantly smoochies!

Same here. What a crossover that would have made. :frown3:

I agree with Flannen and Chatwuann that it would have been nice to see Buffy and Angel's interaction in season 6. It goes back to the two shows being on different networks i think. Annoying though.

network killjoy! lol
There's nothing I don't like about Bangel but there is some stuff that breaks my heart just watching it. The fight in The Prom, I cry every single time...Sanctuary is one of the moments I'd rather not watch..and just one thing..in The Prom I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE how he comes to the dance to give Buffy her perfect moment but he shouldn't have said "It's just tonight..it doesn't mean that..." and she replies :"I know. I mean, I understand". Angel could've just said nothing, she had already got it. It's nothing big but it would've been even MORE romantic (is that possible?? LOL) if he hadn't said anything.

I'am with you with everything you said apart from me actually not feeling that sad when watching "Sanctuary". I feel more sad when watching Buffy break down in "The Prom" and telling Willow "I feel like i can't breathe". :smile3:

Oh but I don't feel sad watching Sanctuary, it just hurts me to see them like that. And I agree on that quote..I start crying so much..Sarah's been amazing in that scene, real pain.

Angel being way overprotective, as if she was helpless.
Buffy bossing him around, her being able to move on & him not. & whenever they fight she just gets too harsh, & worse, him allowing it, that's why I liked it when he finally stood up to her in "Sanctuary".

they bring the immaturity in each other whenever they meet after breaking up. this however, shows that they're just masking their love.

What I really don't like is how they always start hitting each other when they fight. "First they talk out their differences, then they punch them out." I'm really not comfortable with that, even though I get it that their fights are only that vicious because their emotions are so strong.

I get what everyone said about Sanctuary. It's painful to watch, but as Kean said, I still wouldn't change it. Buffy may have acted a little hypocritical, but at the same time her actions show only too clearly that she hasn't moved on, much as she would like Angel to believe different. She understood that herself when Angel came to Sunnydale in The Yoko Factor (she is wearing that wooly jumper she always has when she's sad and I just love SMG in that scene in the hallway).

Oh yes, and this:

chatwuann said:
The Only Thing I Don't Like About Bangel is That There Was Some Episodes Without Bangel In Them.

made me laugh 🙂

I love this thread...I know its old but Im pretty new here and it's my first time seeing it. 🙂

Even though this thread is about what we dislike about Bangel reading through it reminds me of all that I do like about them!

So here are some things I dislike about my beloved Bangel:

-I don't like that we never got to see a happy ending for Bangel on-screen with SMG and Db.
- I don't like that there weren't more Buffy/Angel series crossovers.
-I don't like that we didn't get to see Angel and Buffy's meeting in season 6.

I don't like in Sanctuary that there was a reference to IWRY but it referenced the conversation after the time was reset. :frown3:

It is just a statement Angel makes to Buffy during the conversation they have at the Police Station after Faith turns herself in. Before Angel tells Buffy to go home and she walks down the stairs.

Angel: "That was your idea remember we stay away from each other"

Buffy in IWRY before the mohra demon crashes through the window tells Angel that they should keep their distance until a lot of time has passed given enough time we should be able to...

Angel: Forget.
