What're You Reading Now?

Just to prove to all those skeptics out there who think Buffy fans spend all their time glued to their tv's watching BTVS/ATS reruns, what books are you currently reading (No cheating, now. School Lit assignments don't count, I mean what are yiu reading for FUN)

I'm just about to start "Endurance," by Alfred Lansing. It's about Earnest Shackleton who survived a shipwreck in Antarctica for over a year and didn't lose a single one of his 27 man crew.

I just finished "Overboard" about the sinking of the USS INDIONAPOLIS in World War II.

I'm just about to start 'Atonement', the book the film was based on. I haven't seen the film yet but so may people have recommended the book so I'm gona see if their right. Oh and I'm about 3/4 of the way through 'Alls quiet on the Western Front'...truly great book, I almost feel like I'm in the trenches.

I'm reading Tales of the Slayer vol. 1. I'm on "Unholy Madness" by Nancy Holder so far. I mean, sheesh people..."White Doe" started off very slow and made me put the book down for a day.

After ToTS (the book not the potato) I'll probably finish Ellen Sandler's TV Writer's Workbook. She's very helpful and informative!

I'm in the middle of Twilight, but I've stopped so I can read The Grapes of Wrath for my honors English class next semester.

Oh! And after I read that I have Star Trek Deep Space Nine: Unity , Rising Son, and Avatar part 1.

But as you said I usually just spend my time on the computer, editing videos, or rewatching great t.v. shows. 😛 I read those books when I don't have access to the computer/t.v. That's why it takes me a week or two to read them! 😛

Take my advise about "Atonement," darlin' see the movie first. That way, you won't be disappointed in the book. If you read the book first, the movie is always a let down, because they'll leave your favorite scene/line/character, or even a whole lot of the plot out. They just can't show all that detail in a couple of hours. See the movie first, then read the book. You'll thank me, I promise.

I just read Battle Royale. Very good anti-fascism, pulp fictiony sort of book about Jr. High kids being forced to kill each other. I highly recommend it.

I am now reading March. It's the 2006 Pulitzer Prize winner and derivative of Little Women, which is one of my all-time favorite books. It's about the father's experiences in military service during the civil war.

I'm reading three books right now, Piers Anthony's Phaze Doubt, Ken Follet's The Pillars of the Earth and a business related book about eBay that I can't remember the name of right offhand.
