Ok I can't find a new thread for this so I'm guna start one seen as the UK is currently hot and next week will melt.

Pathetic to some I know but we Brits are NOT used to this.... it comes out of nowhere and only stays a short while then buggers off again. We probably get about 3 hot weeks of Summer then its miserable or average for the other 666 weeks of the year! We are not geared up for any extremity of weather situation. From snow to sun.... we just can't cope!

What's going on where you are?
 
It's going to be super hot on Monday and Tuesday. I know the mornings won't be fun for me because I hate waking up sweaty it's really uncomfortable. I'd recommend everyone get a water spray bottle or use an old perfume bottle, fill it up with water and just spray your face all day. That's what I'll be doing 😅 I've always found it weird how people in the UK go out to the beach or similar places when it gets really hot. You're better off inside in the shade imo.
 
Scorching us from the inside out. I kind of enjoy it because it's that rare that its special. Only after some ice cream though lol.

It's cooler today....but I KNOW the heat waves are coming. I'm staying in, just hanging around. I don't drive unless I HAVE to, gas prices are absolutely insane. So no more leisurely drives...ah well.
 
I find it very hot in afternoons lately so I wait until around 4pm to go outside. We drink plenty of bottled still water. Great excuse for ice cream, though.😀

It's 28C in my living room at the moment... It's felt cooler today because of the breeze but its warm still. Not looking forward to the next 2 days.
 
The heat where I live has been bearable at least. 80s and a few 90s. Every now and again the humidity shows up and that’s what really stinks.

I’m honestly surprised it hasn’t been a warmer summer, considering how short Winter seemed to be
 
It's cooled down a bit, but not enough.
