Whedon Fest Toronto - Buffy/Angel/Firefly/Dollhouse convention

It seems like a lot of people from BB will be attending this event, i can't help but feel rather envious. I hope you have a great time and please report back on your experience at being at the event. The concept sounds great and filled with fun.
 
Yeah, I'm not going to be dressing up, but if I go to the dance, I probably will. It'd be nice to dress as Inara from Firefly. I love dresses! :happy:
 
Wow, this looks so fun! I really, really, want to go. Where I live in Seattle is pretty far from Toronto, though. It would be so much easier if it was in Vancouver.

Who's hoping James Marsters will RSVP?

I guess I need to get a passport, finally!

Maybe if I get money for graduation I'll save it towards this.

*shrug* maybe. me and the gf are planning to try to pull off spike and dru for halloween this year sooo if costumes are ready by then might do it for the fun of it lol
 
I'm a bit disappointed they still haven't listed anyone other than Nicholas Brendon and Amy Acker. It's quite expensive for two people... they promise more names and faces, but none being forthcoming gives me pause.
 
Yea they says it will be announced 'soon' though... So one can hope! To answer your question Kristen, no I haven't bought anything yet. I want to know more before I take my final decision.

It's been 'soon' for like a month now though.
I've not bought mine too. I'm with Zalos, I would like to know more before I spend that money. Plus, I'm really hoping some more people will be announced to show.
 
I'm pretty much in the same boat as you folks. I'd love to go but to spend that kind of money I would have to know that more Whedonverse names will be there. I also lost my job last week, so I'll have to see if this is still affordable for me 🙁

Yeah I know that feeling. The ticket price is tough if you're on EI like I am. :(
According to the forum, there will be a minimum of 4 "major" guests. *shrug*

Christian is known as Lindsey McDonald, the sometimes ally, sometimes enemy, on ANGEL. He is also the lead singer for the country rock band KANE and is currently starring on the 3rd season of the hit show LEVERAGE.

This is Christian Kane's first appearance at a Canadian convention!
 
That's cool. That's a 50% increase in reasons to go. Three guests is a small number so far, but they're three good guests. It's better than offering up, say, the guy who played Clem and two of the Transuding Furies...
