Whedonverse references in your everyday life!

I'm sure I'm not the only one here who sometimes think something Whedon-related in different situations of every day!
For example, today, I was trying to put make up (for the first time, jeez!) and it looked terrible. And I thought "Oh my god, I look like Buffy in Living Conditions, where she was acting homicidal (is that the good word?) and looks even crazier with all the eye-liner she has!".

I know, shallow example :')

I can't think of any examples right now. But I sure had some moments. Like, when I'm in bad situation, I'll think "What would Buffy do?" "What would Willow do?" "What is Buffy wearing?". Oops, that last part has just slipped out. (sw)

I remember this one time at work my co-worker was trying to find my boss and I said quickly without thinking "Idk but I'll do a locator spell via Thespia." Luckily my co-worker knew where the reference came from and was like...did you just quote Willow?! I thought about it for a second and i was like oh crap i did lol

Not entirely sure if this fits, but everytime I open Skype I see that I have 'Echo' on my contacts list and it always makes me think of Dollhouse. 😱

On the second day of my psych class this year, we were talking about ways people treated and thought of mental illness in the past and one of the methods was beating the demon out... then my teacher said "Little did they know, this method actually works.. but you need one special girl. See, to ever generation there is a chosen one. She alone will stand against the vampires, demons, and the forces of darkness. She is the slayer." I said "she is the slayer" with him in the same tone used before each episode... I fell in love with that teacher that day.

Someone today broke the top hinge on a classroom door while opening it. I laughed at her, telling her she didn't know her own strength, but mentally I thought "Slayer strength". No way she'd understand LOL!

And I just met someone named Riley, who has a brother named Brendan, and another brother named Xander. I'm not kidding.

I used to use a lot of Buffy references in real life. After watching one episode, I usually used some frase from that one for a week. The thing is English is not my mother speaking language, so most of the people didn't understand me, and the ones who did, didn't knew what the hell I'm talking about.

A while ago, at my old job, one of my co-workers was sick, and I told him cheerfully something like: "You know, you might die!" (wasn't those exact words, but kind of), and I straight away thought (and said out loud), "wow, I was so Cordelia right now!"

Awww, this reminds me of the game Shempy invented long, ong time ago (I won't dig up the thread, as those of you unfortunate enough to not be in Vahla Ha'nesh wouldn't be able to access the thread anyway 😛 and besides, it's been dead and buried now for TWO YEARS; gawd, time really does fly!) - everyone was supposed to insert the "Buffy quote of the day" somewhere during their conversation IRL over the day.

I got to know Shempy through a PM related to this game thread, so even though I never managed to score a point in the game, it will always be fondly remembered by me... cause it ended up changing my life so much and in such a great way. 😀
