When does this show become great for you?

I was about to say that you stole my answer, but then I finished reading your sentense. So I'll start again. "School Hard" when Spike's car dropped the Sunnydale sign, walked out of the car and said "Home sweet home".

Now that was an easy one for me, because I've also known the answer to that question. That moment wasn't only the moment when I realized this show was great, it was also the defining moment for me when the show has raised itself to another level.

However...
Even though I've been watching the show from the first episode and when it was first on tv and loved it, I became a fan, an obsessed fan of the show after Becoming part 2. It really got to me. I couldn't eat dinner because I was so depressed. This was when I realized I was a fan.

I don't have a specific moment. It was a slowly movement. I liked it more and more. Then oneday I noticed that I was kind of obsessed. I guess that's because there are so many epic scenes and the show gets better with every season! I guess I liked season 2 the most. I probably got hooked in one of its episodes!

In the power walk scene in Propechy Girl, I think. Watching it now, I think it's corny, but back then I was blown away.

Yeah School Hard was a great ep but for me it didn't really show its brilliance until Passion...after that ep I was actually impressed

I partly agree. But I will seperate three things for my own sake. For me, like I said, School Hard was the episode that changed the series and made me realize it's an amazing show. Becoming part 2 was the episode that made me a fan. BUT if we talk about brilliance, so yes, Passion was that point!

The first episode I ever saw was Choices. Now I laugh when I see the spider-bugs, but back then (I was 11, to my defense) I was very scarred. I told my BFF I wouldn,t watch it again.

But then she made me watch Innocence... And guess what, I fell in love with Angel and I started back from the beginning and been totally hooked since then!

I can't say exactly...maybe after I saw Passion. I watched them out of order so it's been great for...as long as I can remember haha. I always imagine that most viewers were thinking, "Sh-guff just got real." after Innocence. I think that season 2 really saved Buffy. I mean, it was just fantastic.

I was painfully intrigued with the show the moment I saw Buffy jump off that tower. That was my first introduction to the show, but the Bargaining episodes definitely sealed the deal for me. It was funny, it was action packed, it was scary (dude, for a ten year old kid, that scene with Buffy reawakening in her her coffin creeped me the hell out. It was stuck with me for days. 😛), it was everything you could ask for in a show.

Funny true story: I was so affected by those episodes, that immediately after, I went to my friend's apartment (we were in the same complex) and hung out. But the entire time, I was acting like I had risen from the grave. I walked around in this strange haze. I squinted at bright light and everything. I was all zombie like and unresponsive. I had gotten on the elevator back to my place, and one of my friend's dads was on it with me. He went "Hey Marshall, how are ya?", and I just gave him the blankest, emotionless stare ever. He tried to shake my hand, and I ran to the other side of the elevator, shaking, like Buffy. He just looked at me like, what the hell is this kid on? 😀 Hahaha it was ridiculous. That's how I knew Buffy was definitely etched in my brain. 😛 Til this day, the Bargaining episodes don't get the recognition they deserve. They're two of my top favorite episodes.

Since I started watching it when it was on the air in the 4th season, I'd have to say Primeval. That's when I knew this was the most badass thing I'd ever watch and really got obsessed with the show.

The speech in Prophecy Girl showed me that Buffy could be great--I was thinking of giving up on it because S1 was just so cheesy and poorly done, but the speech showed how much potential it had. Becoming Part II was when I knew for certain the show was amazing, a sentiment that had been building up in S2 with School Hard (fell in love with Spike), Passion, and I Only Have Eyes For You.

For me I think it was the one-two punch of "Surprise" and "Innocence." There were hints earlier on with episodes such as "Prophecy Girl," "School Hard," "Lie To Me," and "What's My Line? Parts 1 and 2," but with "Surprise" and "Innocence" the show's greatness was set in stone from that point on. 🙂

"I was actually at Woodstock. I fed off a flower person, and spent the next 6 hours watching my hand move."

^Best quote EVER.

I didn't really get that one. Why is his hand moving?

cause the person's blood was so drenched in drugs he was hallucinating (feeling the effects) I'm guessing
Um...how to explain this...LSD makes you hallucinate and everything seems really profound. So he's staring at his hand and because of the drug it's really interesting.

Chosen Enemy agrees: Ooh, nice. I'd like to try that too

It's extremely dangerous and I wouldn't recommend it. It's the drug that makes people think they can fly so they jump out of windows.

Diane Linkletter Was NOT on LSD, she just committed suicide. Snoops has a story on it and debunks the ''she thought she could fly' story.

I was only joking. I know drugs are evil. That's why I only take one at a time 😀

Love it!

Please don't. It's very dangerous, I wouldn't recommend it at all.

He fed off of someone that had done acid. Woodstock was notorious because of all the drugs that were being used during it.

Good. LSD is particularly dangerous because you have no control over your thoughts or actions whatsoever, depending on how many hits you take.

I knew someone that went to prison because he did acid with a group of people, and one of the guys there claimed he had a leprechaun in his brain and he wanted out. He then proceeded to take a power drill to his temple, and died. They were all arrested because of it.

It's not good. 🙁

YES yes, but did they get the leprechaun out? I have to call BS on this anecdote, PM me some evidence please. I've heard a lot of these made up stories, maybe yours is true, but from experience they've all been BS.

Before all the explanations, I thought his hand actually moved. That's why I didn't get that line. I didn't understand how eating a flower person makes your hand move 😀

I'd already been particularly impressed with Prophecy Girl, Lie to Me, Innocence and Passion, but the episode that made me realise how emotionally invested in the show I'd become was I Only Have Eyes for You.
