I was painfully intrigued with the show the moment I saw Buffy jump off that tower. That was my first introduction to the show, but the Bargaining episodes definitely sealed the deal for me. It was funny, it was action packed, it was scary (dude, for a ten year old kid, that scene with Buffy reawakening in her her coffin creeped me the hell out. It was stuck with me for days. 😛), it was everything you could ask for in a show.
Funny true story: I was so affected by those episodes, that immediately after, I went to my friend's apartment (we were in the same complex) and hung out. But the entire time, I was acting like I had risen from the grave. I walked around in this strange haze. I squinted at bright light and everything. I was all zombie like and unresponsive. I had gotten on the elevator back to my place, and one of my friend's dads was on it with me. He went "Hey Marshall, how are ya?", and I just gave him the blankest, emotionless stare ever. He tried to shake my hand, and I ran to the other side of the elevator, shaking, like Buffy. He just looked at me like, what the hell is this kid on? 😀 Hahaha it was ridiculous. That's how I knew Buffy was definitely etched in my brain. 😛 Til this day, the Bargaining episodes don't get the recognition they deserve. They're two of my top favorite episodes.
