I know there are a fair few cat lovers on this forum, famous for being the assholes of the animal kingdom. Do they have a sick sense of humour or are they just straight up evil?

Including all animals now, Does your pet do certain things, just to piss you off? Any animal can be a dick, just cats are most famous for it.

My Xander rabbit, the one with the bung eye, can be very demanding. He was raised by children so TALKS REALLY LOUD where as Anya is more subtle about her communications. Sometimes I wonder if this is just the basic difference between boy things and girls things. Xander is a cute brute, Anya is a sweet and beautiful delicate princess darling. If I am not doing what Xander thinks I should be doing (in this case, making his dinner) he makes sure I know about it.

What do your pets do to piss you off, or if they lack the humour and intelligence, what do they do to please you?

My Jack Russel Terrier Lolo is a total bitch ...in both senses of the word 😀 . She came to me as a troubled puppy with dominance issues. It took me over 8 years to make her a normalish dog .

I had a whole bunch of dogs at the time , all but two dead now . She never fit in or tried to fit in , she was all about being in charge ...of me , of them , of anyone she met . She was a maniac sheep chaser for a good few years , I finally got that out of her before she got shot . I couldn't even open the door or the windows much at my place for the longest time . If she saw a sheep she was itching to get at it , bouncing about trying to get out . I couldn't even let her off the lead for 5 years , she was just gone. You have to bear in mind I live in the middle of a whole county of sheep farms . For 40 miles in any direction , it's mostly sheep 😀

I tried every training method going , I tried to find a new home for her , she was ruining all our lives and her own . Finally one day , when she was about 8 years old , she was throwing herself at the windows in the middle of summer trying to get at some sheep . I just snapped , picked up a lighter and threw it at her as hard as I could . I missed her by a whisker but the force of the throw made the gas lighter shatter . The fury of that moment freaked us both out .

She never chased sheep again. Nowadays there can be sheep outside my front door and she won't mess with them . That's Lolo all over , she knows exactly what you want , but halfmeasures and treats don't motivate her , only dominance .

I started mimicing pack behaviour to address her dominance issues . To this day I won't engage in any behaviour that could be construed as less than Alpha . I won't stoke her on her head or allow her to stand on me , or make me wait for her to move . If she gets out of hand , shes spends a bit of time laying on her back being submissive , It works for her .

Now she's an old lady she's nearly a nice dog . She's still a total headtripper , always looking for an edge against us , even if it's just a bit of cushion . I've always loved her but it's only recently that I started to like her .

Long answer , but with her it's all about 'power' .

My other old dog Spangle is the total opposite . She's always been biddable . She had a bad stroke 6 months ago and while she recovered okay , it looks like she won't last long now . She could do at 14 weeks what it took Lolo 10 years to learn 😀 Spangle is not affectionate , she likes a bit of fuss but actively hates cuddles . She'll do it briefly , but only because I like it . I'll miss her when she goes but she's had a good run , think she's 15 now ..

My brother's kitteh pees on the floor when he doesn't get his cat treats. And he howls continuously like only a Siamese can. He's like a little, furry crackhead. 😾

These! He just goes nuts over them.

I find this more entertaining than evil but, my dog Luz always grunts and runs away when her little sister, Phoenix, tries to snuggle up with me. Luz is very jealous of her lol.

When I've cat-sat for my neighbour one of her cats goes nuts over those treats. He's ripped up two of my pants, literally trying to climb me like a tree to get to them.

Ditto - ish - my cat is a Siamese and omg he goes nuts for these treats and really is verbal if I shake the box of them and they do not appear instantly in his bowl.

My cat has already bit two MP3 headphones of mine when I let it in tables so now I try to not forget to hide my MP3 headphones far away from my cat's eyes.

Spangle is a great name 🤣 Sounds a bit like my old dog. She got to 18, never a smootcher. .

Oh yeah, Anya has chewed through so many cords, Im surprised shes not been fried to death yet. As long as they are not in the "wrong spot" she wont chew them. Unless she is mad at me lol. Xander doesn't have front teeth but he tries to chew. Its quite cute. He has just started copying Anya when shes bunstructing cardboard boxes.

Aww, I don't have pets, but I'm sure that they can be difficult. How your bunnies behave better 😀.

I have 2 dogs, one of them is very well behaved, the other not so much...
My terrier has now learnt that he can tip tables and he managed to eat half of a large pizza and he's TINY.

It was so funny though, it was like he was trying to hide it but he was just covered in tomato sauce.

Ahh yes, the see-food diet.
My little Icarus is a total sweetheart (he's a Russian Blue mixed with something else, not sure what). He's just as curious, playful and adventurous as he was when he was a kitten. I've got no complaints. He also likes being affectionate, so in this respect he's similar to a dog, which is a little strange I guess but it makes him a favorite of all my friends.

There should be a cat thread!
I have a big embarrassment of a cat, who has just got us up because I was silly enough to open my eyes before getting out of bed. She takes this as a cue to jump on the bed, meow in my face or just sit on my bladder. But I always forgive her because she's so loving and affectionate. She enjoys holding hands. 😻

That would be racist! Just compare the pricks to the rest of the animal kingdom here 😉

Anya is a sweet lovely little darling. I went to bed late last night and slept in today, she got worried and escaped the pen to come to find me. She doesnt does it unless I go back to bed after feeding them at dawn. Shes never escaped when she knows I have left the house. She is a very good nurse bun. I should have waited for her to jump up on the bed but I had just put in a new cord near the bed head and I knew she wouldn't like it there so I got up and spent 10 minutes trying to grab her so I could go back to bed haha. Poor traumatised bunny. She knows me well so gets over it. I still have a fair bit of rabbit proofing to do to the place haha.

My dog is kind of a prick whenever I want to yoga or work-out in anyway at home, her tried and true tactics are to,

a) put her head on my neck to try to push me to the floor
b) put her paws on my back to try to push me to the floor
c) crawl underneath me for belly rubs, but really she's just kicking me in the face with her big,fat paws.
d) crawl underneath me and just lie there, in the way, no matter what I'm trying to do. Attempts at handstand's does not faze her. Me lying down on top of her does not faze her.
e) put her butt in my face because she wants the root of her tail scratched. She will swing that tush against me and if you push it off, she thinks its a game and does it again. Yesterday she butt-bumped me so hard I fell over... and so did she because she lost her balance.

It makes it hard to focus, but it does give me a lot of laughs so I forgive her. 😀

The house of Drogyn had a pet Donkey known as Anya she could be a real nice donkey to anyone in Drogyn and an ass if you was in another house.

I have two cats. They're adorable but both are little shits. Just this morning Bella vomited on my quilt. Carmilla likes to scream whenever someone dares to go into the bathroom and close the door on her. It's so much fun trying to going to the toilet when a furry little demon is rubbing up against your ankles. Carmilla also has a bad habit of coming into the bedroom at five o'clock in the morning and standing on either myself or Stephen and purring so loud she sounds like a Humvee. And she gets underfoot all the time. Bella has figured out that if she screams loud enough (and for long enough) she can force us to give her dinner earlier just to shut her up.

But they also both love to snuggle down with me and my husband and they're very affectionate cats (and both are so freakin' cute!) so I forgive them.

Jack Russel Terrier Lolo

I keep thinking that Jack russels would fit in the best with the household I have, but they do sound like little trippers haha. I'd prefer a BIG dog but BIG dogs eat lots of food and could probably jump my front gate. I couldn't handle anything yappy. My old neighbour had a little jack russel cross who was so yappy they put a zapping bark collar on him, until his neck turned raw from being zapped so often.

Luz is very jealous of her lol
The buns get jealous of each other too. Can't cuddle one without the other coming up to share the loves. They are really sweet and cute though, even when they groom themselves. Xander will be cleaning his face and Anya will shove her head under him to get the odd kiss in between his own face rubs. It really is so sweet and cute. They love each other so much.

Aww, I don't have pets, but I'm sure that they can be difficult. How your bunnies behave better 😀.

More cheeky than difficult 😀 I am really not an organised rabbit owner so my buns are VERY good considering that haha. Anya is really a very good and well trained girl. That's why it is so disappointing when she does something wrong lol. Everyone who has met her say they have never met an animal like her. Something special about that bun. Cant blame Xander for his lack of brains really, comes with being a boy child. 😛

(and both are so freakin' cute!) so I forgive them.
Manipulative little bastards 😛 Its how mine get away with so much too haha. They make up for any naughty-ness with their cute smootches and adorable good looks.

You prolly wouldn't want a Jack Russel around rabbits , they re bred to kill mice and rats ..and for catching rabbits 🙁 , it's their nature . I prefer a larger dog too , always feel like I'm gonna hurt the little dogs accidentally ...but it's never actually happened to me .

Nearly all terrier breeds are super stubborn , but the Jack is particularly single minded .

I did like some of the fancy crosses that are popular now . The Jack Russel/Pugs I've met have been lovely little dogs 🙂 .
