When the Buffy remake is released will you go see it?

Just want to see what the general consensus on this topic is-

Obviously for me, the answer will be no. No Joss, no Buffy. Not even any of the original cast.. Just no.

Now, if the trailer happens to be good, and people who do go see it say it's good, I MAY consider renting it or downloading it just to check it out. But I will not support it in theaters.

What's everyone else's view?
 
Yes, I will go see it. Good, bad or indifferent... though I think it will be good.
 
I'm going to give it a chance. That is, yes, I'm going to watch it when and if it comes out at the movies. Obviously, nothing is ever going to be better than the TV show, but still...It's not an upcoming movie I'd be dying to see, but I'll still see it, even just for laughs. That's the only reason my friend and I saw New Moon and Eclipse. To laugh at Robert Pattinson. And stare at Taylor Lautner's gorgeous abs, but that's besides the point. 😀

Now, a Veronica Mars movie, on the other hand, I would kill to see. *sigh* I miss that show.

Go to the theatre and watch it? Very unlikely. But then again I don't go to the theatre often. Watch it at some point? Absolutely. Buy the dvd/blue ray? Depends on what I think of the movie. If I like it then there's a huge chance that I will.

Kind of how I feel.
Curiosity killed the cat but do I ever learn? ;P I'll probably be too curious about the movie to stay away forever. But how quickly I view it depends on a whole lot of facts like casting and plotline etc etc etc... there might be an appeal, there might not...

I very rarely go to the movies anymore, but I will rent it when it comes out, and watch it just so I can bash it 😉

It all depends. On one hand, it sounds like it's gonna be awful and chances are it will never live up to the standards of our Buffy. On the other had, I am kid of curious to see what they do with it. I think I'd need to see more info on it, like a trailer or a review or something before I decide 100%, so for now I'm on the fence with this one. I go to the cinema alot with my friends, so if there's nothing on that we really want to watch, perhaps we'll go see it. But I suspect other movies may be deemed more watch-worthy than it. Maybe. It all depends. As loyal as I am to Joss's Buffy, my curiosity may just get the better of me if it starts to look alright!
 
I will give it a chance.

If it sucks, well that is the end of it. If it is good, well then it may reinvigorate my failing sense of fandom.
 
I hate to say it, because its the typical Hollywood description for things nowadays.. but I would like to see it a bit darker. Because Buffy always seemed so antiseptic, would not mind there being a bit more grime.

HAHA.. no.. that was depressing, not dark. We are talking blood and guts and violence. Not patty-cake violence. Maybe season two was the closest to being the way I would want the movie.
 
It depends I hear certain actors are in talks so if the trailer looks okay maybe. But then again I doubt it because I rarely go to the movies these days.
 
I'll probably go and see it, might as well give it a chance (plus I barely go to the cinema these days so it would be a nice treat).
 
I was actually undecided about going to see it until some friends talked me into seeing the blasphemy that is Jeff Bridges trying to play Rooster Cogburn, in the parody of John Wayne's "True Grit." I've found out just how much fun throwing popcorn and hissing at the screen can be. I think that all fans of the REAL Buffy should dress up as your favorite character and go in groups, and sing selected numbers from "Once More With Feeling" on the first night that it plays.

Actually John Wayne's was a parody of the original source material, the 'remake' was closer to the book. I did not think the movie was that bad at all.
