I have been on the buffy boards alot more recently and I realized that it has been ages since I went through the full series of both BTVS and Angel. So I decided that today would be a great day to start from the begining. I am currently watching season 1 of Buffy and I had forgotten just how great it was. I am currently in the middle of The Pack and it feels so good. Almost like going home after being away for a long time. It is amazing how after all this time I can still remember the dialogue almost verbatum. So my question for you is this? How long have you gone before you decide to start from the begining and work your way through again? Do you watch them annually, once a month, once a week? Whats your Buffy ritual?

I've tried several times to watch Buffy from the beginning, but I usually get a few episodes into a season before I get bored and stop. I usually watch a few eps from the same season every other month.

Some episodes it's been years since I watched. But I still feel like I watched then just a few weeks ago. Not only because I remember them pretty well compared to other shows I've watched more recently, but also because when I watch them, like you said, it's like I've come home.

It's the same way with Angel, but I'm proud to say that I recently succeded in re-watching Angel season 1 over just a few weeks. I have a harder time to watch Angel, because there's more things that annoy me on Angel than on Buffy, for example the Darla, Connor and Jasmine arcs(which means there's a lot I'm annoyed with; ) And it's easier for me to relate to characters on Buffy. That I have a hate/love thing going on for the character Angel is also a problem when I try to re-watch the entire series.

I can so relate
I've watched Buffy entirely all the way through once and I will periodically go through a number of episodes from certain seasons as a rewatch. Season 1 usually is left out of that because I don't really like it; too campy.

Here they don't show Buffy anymore. They even didn't show season 7. But I got it from Amazon. Thank God for internet shopping 🙂 Now I'm in the end of season 2. Yesterday I've watched IOHEFY, and today I'll watch Go Fish. This is.. idk.. like 100th time I'm watching Buffy all over again. And sometimes, I have this wish to watch particular episode 🙂

I usually watch through Buffy from seasons 1 to 7 every few months, and when I'm not watching it through chronologically, I'm watching episodes I like. I usually watch Buffy everyday, or at least every few days. I must have watched the entire series through at least fifty times, seriously. I'm currently watching it through again and I'm just about to start on season three, after watching Becoming parts 1 & 2 last night. I love watching through Buffy again, I can truly never get sick of it, I notice new things everytime. 😀

I so agree. I totally noticed a continuity error in I Robot, You Jane, the computer shows Buffys birth year as 1979 and then as 1980 but we obviously know it is 1981. So bizarre.

I watch both show every summer. Every once in a while, I watch an episode or two when I'm in the mood, or if I need to look up something I'm currently discussing.

I'm currantly in the middle of season 2 - Becoming Pt 1. We usually watch one or two episodes a night. But I'm also a Trek fan so I usually watch some episodes from there as well. Sometimes this interupted if thee is actually something worhwhile on TV!

I just finished watching the entire series yesterday. I started about two weeks ago. It was the first time I'd watched it since I was little and I didn't remember anything. I gotta say, I was hooked as soon as I watched Welcome to the Hellmouth, so I'm glad I was watching it now, that way I didn't have to spend 7 years waiting to see what happens beginning to end haha

I don't think I'll watch it over again anytime soon, maybe in a couple weeks. I get hooked too fast and I can't be bothered to spend 3 straight weeks doing nothing but watching BTVS again. xD

I never really watch episodes out of order unless there's sexy Angel and Spike moments in a certain episode and I want to have a wee lookie... (sw). The longest I've went without watching any Buffy has been about a year I think, and I love to watch it all the way through, not missing a single ep. Which can be hard to handle when I get to some of the crappier episodes, but I have to watch it in order!

Occassionally I will take a break but I have a daily ritual where when I go to bed, I watch Buffy or Angel. I always start from the beginning of each show & work my way through both series night after night. Right now, I am doing that with Buffy. Once I finish Buffy, I will start with the Angel series again. I just love both shows so much. I often say they ARE a part of my life. Watching an episode of Buffy after a bad day just makes it better 🙂

I started rewatching the series a few weeks ago. I watch 1 or 2 episodes a day, at nighttime. I'm on Season 2 right now.

I know right! I just watched the first two episodes last night, and I was blown away by how fantastic and hilarious they were. 😀

Still, I haven't yet actually rewatched the whole series. I just watch whatever episode I feel like watching, in no particular order. But I've decided to make a tradition of rewatching both shows during Summer Vacation. 😀

I haven't watched Buffy since November last year, which is when I finished my fourth complete rewatch. I've almost finished my first rewatching of Angel, and I think I'm gonna do a complete rewatch of Buffy/Angel in the proper timeline order soon.

I don't mind watching individual episodes when they're on TV or when I just decide to watch them. But I like watching the series through, or atleast watching an entire season.

I last watched Buffy all of the way through from season one last summer. I have four months of no university and no job (i only work term time) and therefore it is the best time for me to watch it all. I have been craving Buffy for the past couple of days though and may have to start earlier than the summer this year lol

I usually watch the series through at least once a year. In that viewing there are some episodes that I skip, usually 2 per season. I love the series but some episodes can be painful to watch over and over.
The funny thing is that every time I watch the series I notice new things that I had never seen before and get to appreciate the show on a whole new level.
