Where it all began....

I do it at least once a year sometimes multiple times. I have to watch from the beginning and all the way through or it drives me crazy lol. I will say when it start over i always appreciate the earlier seasons I know that feeling of home you are talking about.
 
I've watched every episode at least once, but I've never watched the entire series from beginning to end in order. I've tried, but I always skip an episode or two.

Every few days I'll turn on a couple episodes. I'm actually quite picky about what I watch on TV, so if I tune in and there isn't anything appealing to me, I'll pop in a Buffy DVD.
 
lol, I think I'm obsessed.

I watched Buffy all the way through for the first time in November/December. The in January I watched Angel. Since then, I've done two rewatches, on a third now 😛 As soon as I'm done, I start all over :lmao:

I watched it all when I was a kid, when it was released on tv. I was watching it in English with Deutch subtitles so, being a french speaker, I didn't understood a lot before season 6!
The I watched it in French because a french channel was broadcasting it. Then I asked my aunt if I could borrow her Dvd's and watched the whole serie twice. Then I bought myself the Dvd's and this is the third time I'm watching my own dvd's.
And once, I really wanted to watch it again but I had no time so I did all the season, ep by ep, only to watch the moments I really liked, or the quotes that I wanted to hear again!
Sooo, I've seen the whole serie a bunch of times but I never get tired of it!

My only problem is, I start knowing soooo well that I know for every episode "Oh, there is soon a scene I really liked in this episode" or "In three episode, there is one of my favourite episode"...So I don't enjoy watching it as much as I used to because I'm so busy waiting for the next "me like" that I don't enjoy that much the present moments :')
 
I have all 7 seasons on DVD. I've gone through every episode at least once. If I'm bored, I'll rewatch some of my more favorite episodes. As far as a full, back-to-back rewatch, maybe this winter when I can't be outside anymore.

I've just started re-watching this past week. I haven't watched the show in ages for a start, but I've never really watched it right from the beginning in order. I would watch the seasons in order of when I got them on video but I bought them out of order depending on which ones were in the shop. So as I'm off for summer I'm determined to get to the end before uni starts again next month. As of last night I've watched every episode up until Inca Mummy Girl which I'm going to watch later today.

It's been a lot of fun re-watching, especially the earlier seasons because originally I only saw them on video because I was so young at the time, I never get into the show until it was in Season 3/4 in the UK and there are a few that I'm quite fuzzy on.
 
I'm doing a Angel rewatch at the moment, am on 4.3 The House Always Wins. I started this rewatch 1 month yesterday so I'm doing pretty darm well. After finishing Angel, I'm watching One Tree Hill all the way through and then it wil be Buffy's turn!!! The last time I did a Buffy rewatch was the end of last year. After I have watched Buffy again, I think I will then watch favourite episodes from Angel as I'm ranking as I go, and then give maybe Tru Calling a rewatch, and then give my favourite episodes of Buffy a rewatch again!!! WOOP WOOP! 😛 I could just watch Buffy and Angel over and over again.
 
Season one isn't my favorite, but I do miss those simpler days. Like just how funny they were before everything got so serious. And imo buffy looked her best back then, less the whole valley girl look she sported at first. I just finished watching the entire series about a month ago. And i've yet to watch Angel, so I'm trying not to read any of the spoilers on here, however tempting they may be lol I really want to start watching it now but I just got promoted at work, which means I have to work 50+ hours a week and I just get overall exhausted =/ soon enough though!
 
I just re-watched Welcome to the Hellmouth and The Harvest. It's probably just me, but I think Angel was pretty lame/cheesy in these episodes. Love Xander, though. And Giles.
 
I am currently watching them from the begining all over again for a podcast I am doing (see below). I am currently on Season 2 What's My Line.

My preference is to watch the whole series in order from the get go. I have done this about 5 times so far and am working on the 6th go round. I also prefer to watch Buffy and Angel in order once season four hits (ie, I will watch episode one of Buffy season four then episode one of Angel season one, then episode two of Buffy season four followed by episode two of season one of Angel, and so on).

Every now and then I will watch whatever is on Logo at the time. I believe it is season seven right now. Fun times.

They didn't know where they were going with Angel at the time until episode 7: Angel (thank you David Greenwalt), so that is why he seemed "lame and cheesy," in your opinion, for the first several episodes.
 
Brian that's the way I'm doing it this re-watch too. I have finished season 4 Buffy/season 1 Angel, and watching alternating episodes is really cool with all the crossovers. Not sure how important it is after that, though, since there are not as many crossovers in the subsequent seasons (esp 5 & 6 of Buffy). It's definitely important in season 4 of Buffy, to understand the Buffy/Angel interactions, and the Faith arc.
 
Yeah well once Buffy left for UPN they couldn't do much crossover, which is a shame. For the first two seasons of Angel though it was good. There are also references in each show even when they are not on the same network, so it still works somewhat.
 
Yeah, a lot of us wished for more crossovers, but what can you do? Although the crossovers in Buffy season 7 (Willow, Faith, and Angel's appearance in Chosen) were really good.
 
I personally think Angel's appearance in Season 7 was unnecessary and just fan service. Or a plot device for Spike to save the day and be brought on to AtS.

Of course it was a fan service! What did you think.. Buffy could end without being kissed by Angel once again? That's crazy troll logic. And whatever else you said about Spike..

Agreed. Angel's appearance was not only really unnecessary but really horribly written and unbelievably out of character. Angel's life had been thrown upside down for the last several months with betrayal, apocalypses, love gone bad, faux world peace and to top it off, he just had witnessed the death, well mind as well call her dead, of Cordelia, a woman he's been in love with for the better part of three years and the loss of his son, the one thing he's loved more than anything but he shows up in Sunnydale full of smiles and good humored jokes and on top of all that, the inappropriate kisses with Buffy. Really bad, unneeded crossover IMO.

I also always watch BtVS and ANGEL concurrently starting with Bs4/As1, it's so much more enjoyable to watch the shows in their original, intended viewing order. 😀

Inappropriate kisses between he & Buffy? Never. But I will give you the different behavior with the joking and everything. Then again, Faith's language was much more "street" on season 7 Buffy than in the episodes on season 4 Angel. And come on, you didn't expect an Angel appearance on the very last episode of Buffy?! It's the same reason may fans were expecting a Buffy appearance on Season 5 of Angel- and were roundly disappointed when it didn't happen. They have a profound connection no matter what else is going on in their lives, of course there was going to be scenes with them together in the finale.
