So, as some of you probably know, tommorow marks the 10 year anniversary of Buffy's series finale, "Chosen". So I figured this would be a great way to sort of pay tribute. Where were you guys the day that Buffy ended? (If you could remember that far back) Was it a regular day in the life until 8:00? Did you have a party in celebration? Were there tears? Or did you miss the finale altogether?
I was in the 6th grade. I remember like two months before, in my journal, I would write that day's date, and then at the top of the page, I would write (20 more days until the Buffy finale, 14 more days until the Buffy finale, etc, etc). So it was a typical school day for me, and all I could remember was being so excited, and I couldn't wait to get home. I sat down around 7:50, got my snacks, and waited for "Chosen" to air. I remember the final fight being so mesmerizing and cool. I yelled out "Oh my god!" when Anya got split into, (I remember that because my aunt came in my room, "what the hell is going on?! Are you ok?!") And I was in pure shock when Spike burst into flames. All in all, I thought that it was a perfect end to the series when it first aired, and I could have sworn I entered a mini depression for about a couple of weeks. 🙂
What's your story?
