S2 Buffy because that's when she was the most human and the most connected to her friends. That was also her best 'best friend Buffy' Season. Also she has the ultimate hero moment at the end (and only PG comes as a close second) that never gets topped again. S3 Buffy is a lot more disconnected but that's due to her S2 journey and the fallout but it's probably her best 'slayer' Season that culminates in the epic GD finale. She resists the easy 'dark side' of slayerdom despite being briefly enticed by it, still fights for having a life outside the slayer gig and then gets an army together by being smart.

S1/4 Buffy follows at second place. They are pretty similar in their bubbly, happy way. S4 Buffy is just a bit more adult than S1 Buffy which makes her better. Points off though for the weird development of the overfocus on the boyfriend and ditching her chosen family as a result. Where did that nonsense come from? So these two are equal for me.

S5-7 Buffy. Nay.

I can agree with this.
I agree S4 Buffy for me ,not one of my favorite seasons but growing up from High School
Independent but still sweet and for me the looking her best........ the last seasons to much ( certainly 6&7 misery ) misery

Of all the seasons which Buffy is your favorite? Do you identify more with the earlier teenage slayer or the more mature intense slayer?

I think I prefer S3 Buffy because she's still happy with her life but is not too green as a slayer.

What do you think?
season 6 both good and bad Bad part Tara death good part when Willow, goes dark and kills warren, and she kills rack, finally fights Buffy still my fav fight in all the series, and the best season finale of all love the ending but did Tara have to die for it no that was the last season I watched because when Tara died that should have been the last season.

Oh, Buffy bot. She's very kind and helpful, she appreciates the work Spike does on his abs, and is less prone to falling apart every May. Well, emotionally anyways.

I always have a hard time choosing between S5, 6 and 7, so I'll just go with later seasons Buffy. Don't get me wrong, I love her in the highschool years, and I love peppy carefree season 4 Buffy, but the later seasons are where she feels the most "real" to me. She's finally allowed to have agency and responsability in her own misery/downfall and because she's Buffy, she gets back on her feet stronger than ever. She's more guarded and hardened, stripped of her naiveté,, yet when you look at her actions, she's still the same loving, forgiving and compassionate girl we all know and love.

I love to see Buffy in the later seasons getting some love.

Season 3 is my favorite overall because it's the most perfect from start to finish.

Season 4 is my personal favorite because it was when I first started watching back in 1999.

Season 6 is what I identify with right now in my life unfortunately. I'm struggling with substance & sex addictions like Willow & Buffy, work and bills b.s. like Buffy, running like a fool from my love & commitments like Xander, feeling somewhat lost like Dawn. I've always loved Season 6 for how it reflects life's dark issues but never identified with it as much as nowadays.

The Buffybot, obviously. Always cheerful and always ready to learn. Intelligent enough to make a good impression at the PTA meeting. Takes good care of Dawn. The real Buffy is miserable and just wants to turn the clock back to when she was a valley girl. The Buffybot's problems were a failure in "The Gift" where Glory noted that she was a robot and again in the next episode where a vampire tells the demon bikers she was a robot.

I didn't know things were hard for you nowadays. But I promise things will get better. We almost all get a S6 moment in our lives and thats why Buffy is so relevant because it helps us get throght it sometimes (sure did for me). In the worst moments, I remember this awesome phrase from the masterpiece My best friend's wedding:

Hope this helps a little 🙂

Thanks doll. I love it & always remember that! I'm an eternal optimist.
Season 2 Buffy was my favorite. I liked her attitude in that season the best out of all of them. My least favorite Buffy would be Season 7 Buffy.

Buffy 1-3 is for me although I still adore her 4-5.
I barely recognise her in 6 which isn't surprising considering what she went through.
And in 7, well she there and she has her moments so, sure?!..

If I had to pick one series/season it would be between 1 & 2. And even though it was quite traumatic for her having to kill Angel, Buffy s2 would be my pick just because of the range of emotions she went through that series starting off with the effects of dying at the Master's hands to leaving Sunnydale because of her utter despair at having to kill Angel and not Angelus.

Good choice but I still like Season 3 Buffy.
