Riley. I don't even dislike him at all, I think he's a great guy. A bit dull, but I think he's what Buffy needed at the time. She also had the healthiest sex life with him, which goes a long way.

Really, Riley has never deserved as much hate from fandom as he gets, and most of it springs from extreme Bangel/Spuffy shippers. He will never be my favorite character, but at this point I would rather follow a story revolving around him than any of the Scoobies. Even with his "cheating" on Buffy, the crap he pulled is ridiculously mild compared to his former friends.

Of the characters on that list, the only one I actively dislike is Eve. I like Dawn, I really like Connor in season 5 and even think he has many legit reasons for being a little snot before that, and Kennedy and Rona elicit nothing but apathy from me. So that just leaves Eve, she who dared to try to fill the shoes of Supreme Bitch Queen Lilah, and failed spectacularly.

I picked Dawn. She was annoying in S5 but got a little better in 6 and then pretty good in 7. Riley would be my second choice. But yea the other I don't like.

For me, Riley. I know a lot of people hated him, mostly Bangel fans. Which made me feel sorry for him. Though Sometimes i'd be annoyed by him, I actually never hated him. Next would be Dawn. I disliked her in S5 and a little in S6, but in S7, she matured, so I liked her a lot more.

At first I couldn't really decide between Dawn or Connor because they both develop as characters into likeable people.
I settled for Dawn in the end because her growth is much more natural and rewarding. And even though she was around longer she was less like a broken record than Connor. Yes I know there a couple of 'Get out, get out get OUT!!' moments, but spread over three seasons they aren't that bad.

Riley annoys me principally because its obvious that he was intentially wriiten to be the 'likable' perfect boyfriend guy, so the fact that the writers failed quite badly puts him above Dawn or Connor for me (those two at least had reasons for their individual disfunctions).
I hate being clumsily manipulated into 'liking' a character ('see, look how kind/good/gentle/romantic this person is' 🙄) and it usually backfires in most cases- it's one of the reasons why I dislike Principal Wood and soulled Spike quite a lot.

Most of the other characters on the list are just cyphers who's annoyingness is pretty much their only character trait. I can't remember anything about Rona other than she bitches and whines way more than Dawn ever did and that Caleb broke her arm- that's it.

Kennedy is so full of herself she's actually kind of obnoxious and it drowns out her other qualities. We have to wait for the comics for her to become less of a bitch. Even then we have moments like her calling Buffy a 'les-faux' for sleeping with Satsu. I mean, c'mon, she's just unpleasent. 😡

Eve is possibly the worst 'femme fatale' type character I've ever seen on tv, because she just...isn't appealing at all. Also she's so obviously untrustworthy on any level that there's no ambiguity to her character that a role like that requires.

Dawn. I love Dawnie. I mean, yeah, she has plenty of those obnoxious hormonal teenager-y moments, you know, the infamous get out get out get out and so on but to be honest I still kinda enjoy them. I do think that the character could use some more development in season 6 and 7 but other than that? Dawn's great. She's just so entertaining, when she sneaks out to steal things with Spike in "Bloodlines" or when she goes Oh cool! ogling Buffy's wounds in "Fool For Love" or in the whole Dawn Alone sequence in "Conversation with Dead People". Really, Dawn has great chemistry with just about everybody, every character - even Andrew and that is an achievement. Also, I don't know, she sort of balances Buffy's pompousness in a way other characters rarely do because, as opposed to them, she got to know Buffy the not-a-slayer. One more thing - the way Dawn deals with all the hardship in her short life is pretty damn admirable, I believe that, in some ways, she's actually stronger than Buffy.

So yeah, Dawn's awesome, deal with it.

I hate Buffy the least so I went with other. But I still hate her, just the least. But why do people hate Eve? I liked her character. And Harmony is not on that list either. Of course I dont think anyone hates Harmony least...

You liked Eve? Eve?
Gah, every time she's on screen I want to travel back in time and physically remove her!

Eve isn't even interesting. She's so obviously a bad guy. She's like Lilah without any of the depth/nuance. We needed something more from a 'liason to the senior partners' that this cardboard character.
Plus she's incredibly weak in her relationship with Lindsey- a real 'yes' girl to his scheming, in the end she's actually just kinda pathetic.

but she was nice to look at
Explain your reasoning. I have never heard this before from anyone.

Eve was a major disappointment after what I had come to expect from ATS and W&H. We go from someone like Holland Manners or Lilah and we get this - a lame, charisma-devoid cardboard cut out who looks like she wandered in from the casting of 7th Heaven. To me she didn't even seem like a bad guy, she was a the college-chick with a crush on a bad guy (Lindsey) with whom she didn't even have chemistry.

She was boring to watch, she was painful whenever she tried to talk and make it "cutesy" evil and it will forever be a mystery to me how she got cast. For me she definitely qualifies as one of the worst characters ever.

(I'll add that I did not find her nice to look at either but I'm not sure a pretty face could have done much to help the situation)

charisma-devoid
The whole season was Charisma-devoid except for one episode. But what's that got to do with Eve? Zing. See what I did there? 😉

That's because W&H weren't 'supposed' to be the bad guys anymore! I mean, she was the representation of what W&H thought would make Angel feel comfortable, secure and not running an evil law firm. No one would see her as a threat.

Haha, zing indeed!

Meh, lame excuse for that lame excuse of a character. I understand not getting Hamilton to start but that still doesn't excuse the casting of the actress who only helped turn Eve into a dud. She was like some kind of watered down Lilah clone.

But do you actually HATE her? I mean, there are some characters that I totally hate and some I am indifferent to (which indifference is, for me, liking) I mean.. I aint going to go through a list of how I hate as I would get friggin crucified.

Oh shoot. Sorry.. it was dislike not hate. My bad.

Haha yes, I actually do HATE her. (as far as you can a fictional character) No joke I can barely stand the scenes she's in and she's one of the major flaws of season 5 for me.

I join you in hate-solidarity! :)
And Harmony is not on that list either. Of course I dont think anyone hates Harmony least...

Harmony is the character I hate most in the entire verse. Of course, that's actor bleed because I despise Mercedes, but I think everyone knows that at this point, lol.

Of the four most hated characters in the verse - I hate none of them. Connor is one of my favorite characters (I used to say he was THE favorite, but Buffy actually takes the top spot nowadays) and Dawn is up there in my top five as well. Kennedy I like more the older I've gotten, I think she got a bad rap coming so soon after Tara and I think that was Riley's problem as well. Buffy and Willow were still mourning the loss of Angel and Tara respectively when these new love interests were introduced and the fans were still mourning, too, and I think the writers just tried too hard to move on too quickly.

I voted for Connor out of the choices, because I do love Connor. I think he was very, very misunderstood. A lot of people just saw a bratty, selfish teenagers who couldn't see a good thing when it was right in front of them. They seem to forget that this was a boy who was raised in hell and brainwashed into seeing only the bad in his birth father without even acknowledging the good.

I think the season 3 Connor was much better than what we had after. Season 3, in the few scenes, he felt like a full character. He was misused after I think.
Dawn for me too. When I first saw her she annoyed me because she was new and just came out of no where but after a while I got used to her. Her whining and being a magnet for causing trouble irritated me as much as it did Buffy at the beginning but I grew to like her. She settled in to the whole group dynamic well and it was nice to have a younger presence who was close to the age as the gang were in season one. I much preferred her as well when Buffy came back and she became more mature and tried her best to help her sister. Plus I kind of forgive her whining and complaining now, considering she was only a young teen and had to learn that she was once just a blob of energy.

After Angel and Buffy, Connor is my third favorite character, so I voted for him. Sorry Dawn, I love you very much but you know.. Connor is Connor, I love him and always will 🙂

But the question is which of the hated characters do you dislike the least.... By your answering Conner it implies he was hated and you disliked him. Granted, you disliked him the least to the others listed, but still disliked him.
