One of the Star Treks or Doctor Who--get to explore the universe, meet aliens, etc.
Any Arnold Schwarzeneggar movie. He's Mr. Universe, he's got the biggest guns, he's also got the biggest firearms, and the babes. If I were married to 90s Sharon Stone, I wouldn't even care that there's a 99.9% chance she will betray me and turn out to be evil or insane. Plus, I can't die. No matter what happens,
I'LL BE BACK.
Perhaps the most appealing aspect of television though isn't the fantastical settings or thrilling plots at all. It's just the familiarity of getting close to the faces on the screen, and feeling their friendships, their love, their comradery. In that perspective, it doesn't matter what show you choose. Every good show has a cast of characters that's like a family (or they're literally one) and that's something everybody craves deep down.
