The characters are so different, and we are all so different from each other. But maybe there are characters on the show(s) that we find more easy to relate to, according to many reasons.

So which character(s) are the easiest to relate to, who do you relate to the most?

For me Anya since I've become desensitized and sometimes peoples logic confuses the crap out of me.

She was someone who didn't understand how humans work and how they felt about things.

Like when Buffy's Mom died and she was just at a stand still now sure how to act and to why everyone was acting like they were while they just kept yelling at her and ignoring her.

Another character I relate to is well Spike since he seemed to do what he wanted as well as make an ass of others.

With out him some bits wouldn't have been as good with his rugged good looks and sarcastic charms which seemed to have won Andrew over.

Another Character Andrew...how could I not relate to Andrew?

and that is all.

I think your right.
Bob from Twin Peaks...

...

oh you mean from Buffy??

... Then scratch that... 😉

Hm, I would have to say Angel or Faith for me. Or simply both.

Xander. I've said it in another thread, I felt he represented a woman who struggled to be equal to men much better than Buffy did. He had no superpowers and yet he was able to stand shoulder to shoulder with people who did and be considered as important and that was so empowering.

Spike. I've said time and time again Spike IS me... and it's true. I was describing Spike to my mom and she said "he sounds just like you." 🙂

heh...that must have made you happy :)
For me, it's Willow. I don't really know how to put this, except sometimes I just am Willow, and not just the high school years.

I am Willow because I was the geeky little girl who had no fashion sense and no confidence, only brains. I had friends but they were equally geeky and goofy. I met a new friend who helped me become more confident.

I am Willow because I make up funny words and dress like a total girl. I babble sometimes. I rely on my friends to keep me from going back to my geeky self. I know I have some crazy talent, but sometimes I still feel worthless. Sometimes I'm a little slow, but sometimes I'm faster than anyone else.

I am Willow because I was a little shocked the first couple times I suspected I was gay. But then I fell into it. It felt natural, because it was natural to me. I learned to stand on my two feet even when I didn't have my friends, even if I would have done it better with them.

I am Willow because even though in part I'm still a little girl, I hate it when people treat me as such. I know I can handle things. Sometimes I want to abuse my talents... sometimes I do. But with help, I always come back to the right side.

I am Willow because I love my friends more than anything and would do anything for them, even if it scares me. I am really so much like her, that I spent a fair amount of time laughing at things she said, not just because they were funny, but because I said something incredibly similar before.

I am just her so much, it's crazy.

This sounds like how i describe how I am Spike
Angel. I used to related more to Buffy...but she's just too "perfect". Angel because we are both kinda unpredictable. Sure, we have distinctive traits, but like him, I can go from good to bad, from broody to happy, etc. I can be loyal, sulky, witty, a whole range of different traits just like him. And I also "think the world" like he does.

Hmm I wanna say Spike, and that used to be true but I've actually been thinking about this a lot lately. I love Spike and I basically was him when I was younger. And I still am in the way that I am so passionate about life. I feel things intensely and it comes out in my artwork . . .and I do write poetry. But that's a secret!! haha

Now actually I'd have to say Buffy. Specifically season 7 Buffy. I have a lot of responsibility on my shoulders. I have a lot of people to look out for and take care of. My house is literally like the house in 7. People are always around and looking for things from me. At one point there were 7 adults living there and most times lots of people have friends over.

I basically have to keep all that chaos in order. It can be very lonely.

I guess that's part of the reason I love it on these boards so much. Here I'm not worrying about taking care of people or how I'm gonna get all the bills paid so we all have a place to live.

Hopefully they don't all turn against me at some point. Don't think my husband would track me down and tell me I'm a hell of a woman. Maybe in my dreams . . . 😀

That was a lot of detail there. Good times.

Spike is who I am now. Season 7 Buffy is who I want to become... + some of Spike too. Basically, I want to take your life journey. haha
I can really relate to Anya which is probably why I like her so much.

I'm actually very naive and gullible. I also sometimes don't know how to react to things. Like sometimes my friends will come to me crying about something, and I just don't know what to say or how to react.

I would say I relate to Faith the most. Not because I hAd a crappy childhood or anything (or that I'm a slayer) but I always admired her confidence and strong character. She in part made me realise that being introvert isn't the best in every situation.

I think I can relate to a few of them, I'm not sure who I relate to most. I can relate to Willow but mostly in the early years. And I can relate to Xander too in some ways. I could probably relate to Anya in some ways but no way could I be as blunt as she is. Okay so maybe not as many as I thought. I think bits of both Xander and Willow are what I can maybe identify with most throughout the show.

I would love to hang out with AtS Wesley or Gunn. I think it would be a blast. I'm a bit serious and older, so Wesley and I would get along great.

Giles is a bit too serious for my liking.

Depends on the day. I can find a connection with a lot of different characters, which I suppose is evidence of good writing. 😀 But who I can relate to the most? Probably Buffy. I have similar insecurities of becoming closed-off and too serious and I'm still figuring out what to do about it. I also relate to Dawn, Spike, Willow (oddly, because I don't even like her that much), and I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple...

Buffy. I understand her, and I can relate to her. I have never been confused by her actions. She makes mistakes, then she makes amends. Her insistance on doing what's right - no matter the personal cost - is inspiring, really. I have so much respect for her. She exemplifies the traits I admire in people: conviction, intelligence, bravery, and a strong moral compass. She is loving and forgiving. Her values guide her everyday choices. Honestly, I think she's one of tthe most incredible characters ever. She's my hero. 🙂

I've always been able to relate to Buffy due to having so much pressure/responsibility from my parents/mentors (though thankfully I've never had to slay vampires 😉

It scares me sometimes how much I relate to Wesley.

Faith. I say this all the time. But I relate to Faith more then any other character on tv. Which is why she is my favorite.
