Who do you think was the worst villain?

Buffy: Dark Willow. She just got on my nerves.

Angel: Jasmine. Most because everyone kept going 'you're beautiful' and all I could think was 'you fugly'.
 
Probably Dark Willow. I think Willow actually could have made a good villain with some better writing (and at the start of the sixth season it seemed like they might be headed that way, with her becoming increasingly drunk on her own power), but Dark Willow was a cartoon. She wasn't as bad in Villains (though still not good by any means), but after she stole Rack's energy (maybe even before that), it came across like she wasn't really Willow any more. Most of her actions then weren't motivated by Tara's loss or anything else that was Willow - she was just pointlessly evil. And had embarrassingly bad dialogue.

I also thought The First was an atrocious villain.

On Angel, I'd go for the Circle of the Black Thorn, who came across as being made up and shoe-horned into the plot at the last moment. Or possibly for Jasmine, just because most of her plans made no sense. Doubly so when she was in Cordelia, because Charisma Carpenter's performance was awful.
 
The Master - Pretty lame, but fills his role as a villain well, with a clear motive. Had a few good lines ("What do you think, 4.2?") - 6/10
Drusilla - Awesome villain, her craziness was very entertaining - 9/10
Spike - The epitome of awesome in S2. He was the most entertaining character ever - 10/10
Angelus - Very creepy, very dangerous. Probably the best "Big Bad" there was. His connection to Buffy made him really interesting - 10/10
Faith - She is one of a my favourite characters, but if we only count her time being evil, then she wasn't as entertaining as other times - 9/10
The Mayor - Very entertaining, very funny, and his relationship with Faith was very sweet, he was a really well-rounded character. However it bugged me that he was never given a real motive, he just wanted to be a big snake for some reason or another - 8.5/10
Adam - Quite lame. His philosophical rants were quite interesting, but he was never really engaging - 6/10
Glory - A good villain with a clear motive, I enjoyed her but did think that her storyline dragged on a little too long - 7/10
The Trio - Truly lameass villains, They were supposed to be funny, but the supposed hilarity was that "they're nerds and they like Star Trek and live in basements". Truly hilarious. We were supposed to be entertained by these half-assed cliches? - 3/10
Warren (counted seperately from the Trio) - Actually a very good villain, completely convincing and completely hateable - 8/10
Dark Willow - Had potential, but really, the whole "magic addiction" failure of a plotline ruined it before Dark Willow even turned up. Her dialogue was turgid and cheesy, and she spent an awful lot of time doing nothing, her story seemed dragged out for two episodes, and then rushed at the end. - 5/10
I've only seen half of S7 so far, but:
The First - Interested me greatly at first, a creature that could appear as dead people and manipluate the living was a great idea in theory. However I'm half-way through the season and it still hasn't really done much. For an all-powerful manifestation of evil, it spends an awful lot of time talking and not nearly enough time doing.

I agree with almost all of this (especially that Warren should be considered separately from the other two of the Trio), though I'd rate Faith (even) higher and Dark Willow and Glory lower.
Surprised at all the hate on Adam. I thought the whole demon/robot/man thing was a new avenue for the Buffyverse to go down, the combination of science and magic. I also liked the way he was acted, the fact that he this massive monster but had the curiosity and inquisitiveness of a child. I thought he was an innovative and quirky character, and enjoyed watching him interact with others and try to understand why he was born/made/whatever. We've all wondered that at some point.

I do like him. I think he suffered from coming after a line of massively popular villains - Spike, Drusilla, Angelus, Mayor, Faith.

After having seen the whole of S7, I have to say:

The First: Possibly the worst villain in the history of the show. It had fantastic build-up in Conversations with Dead People and the final scene of Lessons, but utterly, epically failed to deliver at all. It just stood around and talked at them. And instead of being shown that it was a threat, the Scoobies just stood around and talked about how dangerous it was. It couldn't even touch them! It could not "strangle them in their sleep" as the mini-slayers liked to claim. It managed to infiltrate them multiple times, but only because the Scoobies were too stupid not to set up some sort of simple handshake test. And it seemed to be thoroughly confused about its own plan - first it wanted to destroy the slayer line, then it wanted to set free the Ubervamps, then it became obsessed with Spike for a few episodes then promptly forgot about his trigger, then it wanted to open the hellmouth, then it wanted to become corporeal... I'm not sure even the writers knew exactly what the First wanted. 8/10 for build-up, 1/10 for execution.
Caleb - A much-needed addition as it provided an actual physical threat from the First's side, which it hadn't had all season, save the Ubervamp which lasted two episodes (and the Bringers, but lets face it, I could take down one of them). Nathan Fillion injected massive amounts of charisma into the role, which was good since on paper the character was rather boring. It didn't have any nuance or complexity, he was just really evil and hated women (on a side note, I preferred it when Buffy was a feminist show by way of having strong, independent yet still feminine female characters, rather than being feminist by way of having overly-misogynistic male villains that get killed horribly (see Warren too)). - 6.5/10

The Trio sucked the big one. Buffy had just fought a god, an actual god. The next season she gets 3 muppets with inferiority complexes. Bogus.
 
The lamest was the Troika.

As someone said before, Warren came off as a spoiled brat, while Jonathan and Andrew were just geeks.

On Angel, Jasmine. She ruined the show for me.
 
I'd have to say the trio as well. I mean, they were funny but they just irked me. I definitely enjoyed them the least out of all the big bads.

Agreed, the Trio were deliberately lame, but Adam was trying to be interesting but just came across as lame.

I completely agree with this. If the trio is considered a big bad then I pick them, if not then I pick Adam as my least favourite.
 
Adam, he was boring and seemed non threatening. He didn't have a huge role in season four either and big bads usually seem to feature a hell of a lot more in their respective seasons. As someone said the whole man/cyborg/demon thing didn't really work for me either.

I thought it was also a bit lame for the mayor to be the big bad in season 3. He was just an old guy...well that was until he turned himself into a gigantic demon. Then he looked to be a real threat. I remember in the season four comics he somehow, possessed a crow and a vampire...that was just weird. I think he was a ghost...
