Question Who else would you have wanted as The First Evil?

I just watched Lessons when at the end The First becomes so many past characters from the show! It appears as many more over Season 7, alot as Buffy!

But who else would you have liked to have seen as The First and why? Or who would you have liked to have seen more of? (Glory for me!!!!)

Personally, Angelus would have been great to see and Kendra would have been a fantastic addition, especially as it would have enhanced the idea of a Slayer's mortality!

What are your ideas?

Joyce would have been great to see, appearing before Buffy or Dawn
Jenny for Giles
Jesse for Xander also that would take them back to when it all began with Jesse's death

Oh man, I've always wanted more of Jenny as the first. I think that three of my favorite fanfics that I've found involve that! And Kendra, that's a good idea, [MENTION=8885]nightshade[/MENTION] !

Jenny, first of all, I agree.

[MENTION=8885]nightshade[/MENTION] the ghost/spirit that appeared before Dawn in CWDP in the form of Joyce, was really the First. According to Jane Espenson, anyway.

Also, like [MENTION=8885]nightshade[/MENTION] suggested; Jesse. It would have reminded Xander and Willow just how high the stakes are and how much they have lost.

Warren gloating about killing Tara to Willow would have been interesting.
I was always a bit confused about why the First never appeared as someone who was alive, it could appear as Buffy, so why not someone else? That would have messed with their heads quite a lot.

I never thought of Kendra, but that would have been pretty awesome and seeing Jenny again would also be very cool.

And of course I have to mention Principal Snyder! The best principal Sunnydale has ever had 😀

The way I saw it was that The First could appear as Buffy because Buffy had died in the past so was able to take her form.

The First couldn't appear as someone who was alive. He appeared as Buffy because she actually DIED.

And as far as the OP, I'd have to go with Jenny & Jesse like others said. Perfect way to torture Giles, and it would have been fun to see Jesse & Xander interact after so long.

I think it would have been cool if it had come as Ms. Sunshine, the puppy, to torture Giles. She probably died when Giles set the factory on factory on fire, so he was responsible for her death!!! (Well, we don't get much good interaction between Giles and The First, and if not Jenny...)

Would have been nice to see Jenny back and maybe more Joyce, that had the potential to really shake Buffy up. As far as the Jesse thing goes, it would have been odd to have him appear as he was completely forgotten about after the first couple of episodes, if he'd have been referenced in other seasons then yeah that would have been good. Otherwise you'd be a bit like 'who the hell is he?' if you forgot about him and would reduce some of the impact.

Kendra would have been cool. Jesse, I think he really could have messed with Xander's head. And Jenny would have been really cool.

I would have LOVED to see Jesse come back to appear to Xander. I think seeing Jesse would shock the Hell outta him and remind him how he felt about vampires before Spike, Angel, etc.

Glory wouldve freaked them out for sure. Also Angelus? If possible? Not sure if that could work........and incorporating a dead Riley would have been interesting giving some closer to his character once in for all, because I never want to see him again! Lol

Really agree!!!! Both those characters would have been amazing in CWDP. Although I thought Cassie did well at the end when she started threatening and showing The First's true colours, Cassie for a prolonged period of time does grate on me - happened in Help too. So yes, Jenny & Tara in CWDP = PERFECT!!!!!

I thought it was all wrong, one of the old characters being used to put a face to the First.
Had a new character have been introduced, then the First may have had a greater impact.
Maybe an initial appearance of some thing/ one from the comics?

I always thought having the Master appear more often as the First would have been cool, after all he was the first Big Bad that Buffy faced on the show, and I think it would have rounded off the series nicely, coming full circle and all of that. Also I think that Buffy would have kinda freaked, I still think that Buffy had some residual fears of the Master. Appearing to Buffy as Glory and the Master I think would have made their taunts more effective, the two that had managed to either kill her (Master) or at least got her killed (Glory) probably would have affected her. Also, having Warren appear to Willow, might well have sent her off the deep end again, so might have been interesting to watch.
