Who likes Angel?

Right, I'm seeing too much Angel hate around here, so I'm calling all Angel fans to this, here thread to establish some Angel love!

I think the Angel hate is totally irrational. 😛 so let's show some love...please. Before I lose all faith! 😀

Ugh, I don't really like Angel. I really like him in his own show, but I hated, hated him when he was on Buffy, and even his guest appearences in seasons four, five, and seven left something to be desired.

He's too depressed, all the time. At least in his own show, you got more insight in every episode to things he's done. But... I like my characters to be fun!

I like Angel. 😀 I thought his character was much more interesting than Buffy's, for a lead. Although I can really get why people don't like him, I do. 😀

I said this is another thread but I would have hated it so much more if he didn't 'swoop in'. I don't think it would have right for him not to be there. Since he left Sunnydale, he's been there at every important event in Buffy's live (Joyce dying, her resurrection) and I would have been annoyed if he hadn't shown up to offer her support in what could have been her final battle.

I'd have like to have seen some interaction between him and Faith as well though.

The scene at the end of Judgement, I think it is, when he goes to visit her in jail and tell her he sang Barry Manilow, is one of my favourite scenes. It's really touching.

I love/adore ANGEL!!! i am a big Angel fan and i am also a huge BANGEL fan!!!David portrayes him greatly!
Angel maybe dark and brooding and melancholic...but he has many reasons to be that way!i also love the fact that he is so romantic as a character!and really...are there people out there who hate Angel???i really don't understand that!well maybe because i love him so much!!!

Yeah, I like Angel, but I agree with you, I also hate how he comes back in s7 of Buffy, because it so random. But I prefer Angel on his own show than on Buffy. I'm sorry, but I also don't like some of his guest appearences on Buffy's later seasons.

I found that logical. I mean Joss gave us Bangel moment for Bangel fans, and Spuffy moment for Spuffy fans. I think that's fair, because now no one is disapointes and they left both 'ships open for buisness. I think they had to show us, even if Angel is not there, he will always be with Buffy. Part of her.

No it was right. Angel was there in the beginning he had every right to be there at the end too. It would have been wrong if he hadn't appeared.

I hate Bangel because Angel and Buffy suck when they're together. They're annoying. Separate from Buffy, I love Angel. I really enjoyed his show and thought he was much, much, much more fun to watch without her. So I do love Angel even though I'm anti-Bangel.

It's the opposite for me - I really dislike Angel on BtVS, but he becomes marginally more bearable when on his own show.

I'd still say he's amongst my least-favourite characters, though.
