That’s a fair point. But that’s not my problem. This isn’t me being negative about the casting from the original films. It’s more the way people reject the idea of a female taking the role out of hand. Ford has now retired from the role, and it’s 2023, so the way I see it the role is up for grabs for either gender. In the 80s they had more of an excuse, not so much now. I saw the new film yesterday and Phoebe Waller Bridge is fantastic in it. I’d watch a reboot with her in. I’m not saying I want a female Indy, I don’t even want a reboot, but chances are it’s going to happen. If it does they should cast whoever is best for the role, no matter the gender. By now we’ve seen that women can be just as good in action roles as men, so I don’t see the problem. It’s actually more lazy just to cast a generic choice like Chris Pratt.
