Let's break down the options:

Spike: Big nope (for too many reason to list here).

Faith: Chemistry? Check. Complex history? Check. The whole awesome ying/yang relationship? Check. Potential for interesting storytelling? Check. Will it happen? Nope.

Angel: Too much of a body-count between these two in the wake of Twilight. So no.

Satsu: Satsu seems to be well over Buffy and the aftermath of their S8 encounter illustrates how badly this universe handles the very idea of bisexuality. For that reason alone, no.

Xander: One of the great things about Xander is that he loved Buffy but then got over it and became one of her closest friends. So no, no need to undo all that growth and development.

Willow: Heh, aw, cute. And no.

Other: Probably impossible to do in the comic books now, introducing a new, interesting and original character for Bufyf to end up with. Maybe if they'd done it way back in S8...

Better Off Alone: Probably the best option for many people who don't care about shipping I guess. Buffy has always been more about family than romance.

From that list Faith is the only who could work. If not her then it would have to be someone fresh or maybe no one.

They don't have to introduce a new character it could be an old character from the show reappearing like idk Riley or someone.

The same when it comes to Angel/Angelus by the way. 😉
Did I miss Buffy sleeping with Angelus? I don't remember that happening in the comics. And lets not forget that Buffy actually handed out justice when she send Angel (who was actually innocent), and therefor Angelus, to hell. That was justice for the victims.

Not for Buffy. She only did it because there was no choice (the vortex demon). Otherwise she would have never killed Angel. Same like Spike.

Both (Angel and Spike) had massacred countless people over the centuries. But past is past and Buffy is boinking them both. Several times. And when it comes to S8, we are also talking about boinking a homicidal Angel.

When it comes to the undead, Buffy boinks them nonetheless.

It must be love. 😎

"justice for the victims" pfffffffffff

Wrong. It's not just about 'Becoming'. Buffy had already resolved herself to kill Angelus before Acathla ever appeared on the scene. If it wasn't this it would have been something else.

Same like Spike.
When did Buffy kill Spike?

Resolved herself to kill Angelus, ok, because she had to, but then Angelus becomes Angel. And without Acathla (the whole world hanging by a thread!) she would have never killed Angel. Thats what I meant with "same like Spike".

And by the way, the homicidal (massmurderer) Angel from S8 is more a threat then the peewee Angelus from S2. And Buffy did not even kill him, no, she boinks him. Big time. 😉

Like I said before:

"When it comes to the undead, Buffy boinks them nonetheless"

I don't care what she was trying to do. The fact is soulles Spike WAS that bad. To sweep that under the rug does no one any favors, least of all the characters of Buffy and Spike. It's the same reason why the S6 relationship disgusts me so much. The victims of the demon that Spike was. Whether it's Buffy sleeping with the thing she is supposed to be killing (with the thousands+ body count lets not forget) or even years later saying said 'monster' wasn't so bad, makes a mockery of all of Spike's victims. And I'm ALWAYS on the side of the victims with no sympathy for monsters.

The world isn't divided into monsters and victims. We're all monsters sometimes, and we're all victims sometimes. When Spike tried to rape Buffy in 'Seeing Red', he was a monster. When Spike tried to defend Dawn and failed, in 'The Gift', he was a victim. Like all of the characters in the Buffyverse (ALL of them), Spike had good qualities and bad qualities. And that moral ambiguity is what makes the Buffyverse so interesting to me. If I wanted to live in a world where everyone was either a victim or a monster, I'd live on Miranda, that planet from 'Serenity'. The world where everyone was dead.

Yeah but trying to save one persons life does not make up for the death of millions.

I love the idea of fuffy. Although I don't feel smg played buffy that way? You know how with some characters u can totally see a queer nature but with buffy I never got it but I'm still down for fuffy 100%. And I love spuffy too eeeeekkkkk

Yeah but trying to save one persons life does not make up for the death of millions.

Of course not. And trying to save millions of lives doesn't make up for the death of millions either. As Jessica Jones said - "saving a life doesn't mean un-killing someone else". You can't judge a person based on a mathematical list of the good and bad deeds he did throughout his life.

Ofcourse u can.
So what ur trying to say is that a person who killed millions of innocent people cannot because judged because he tried to save one live.
Thats insane.

I didn't say that. I said that it doesn't matter how many good deeds you do - the bad deeds can never be undone. Even if Spike saved a million Dawns, it wouldn't change a thing to the million he already killed. Or, in other words:

Yeah but the fact of the matter is that Soulless Spike was a monster.
Just because he tried to save Dawns life doesn't change that

Yeah but in ur original post u said Spike as a character can't be judged because he once tried to save dawn.

I didn't say that he can't be judged because he tried to save Dawn, I said that you can't judge a person based on a mathematical list of the good and bad deeds he did throughout his life. And I stand by that.

I see. I said, earlier, that Spike did good deeds in his soulless phase, in addition to his bad deeds. And that's true. This is why Buffy said he "wasn't so bad". Compared to most vampires, soulless Spike wasn't so bad, after he fell in love with Buffy.

That said, of course soulless Spike was still, you know, SOULLESS. Which is why Buffy's words ("Wasn't so bad") are immediately rejected by Spike himself.
And don't forget the context in which Buffy said that - Spike just told her to kill him if he loses his soul, and she was trying to convince him not to give up so easily if that happens ("What? I will not! We'd fix you").
