I like the idea of Faith and Buffy, because they have such a meaningful connection. But that connection could also be the reason they shouldn't be together. Romantic relationships can easily turn sour. When you have someone that meaningful in your life, sometimes I think it's better to stay friends!

I would say Angel. I think they would balance each other out nicely, Angel being so calm and collected (usually) and Faith the wild child. He could be the calming presence she needs, and she would bring him out of his shell a little bit.

Oh I wish you hadn't told me that lol I plan to start reading the books asap. As soon as they come I the mail lol oh well.

From the comics, it appears Faith dated a cop at some point:

Faith: "Cuff 'em faster! Am I the only one that's dated a cop? Move it!"

Given Faith's rebellious attitude that one had to have been doomed from the start.

Not that surprising really. Pretty sure Faith's wanted to date somebody 'who only thinks she's a cop' for some time now. 😀
 
You are missing the most obvious choice: none of the above.

And maybe the answer is nobody at all. Faith has a lot of damage to repair before she can consider a relationship. She still hasn't changed her mind from this comment:

and I don't see her trying to have any personal romance with Buffy or any other girl. In fact she has little use for any of them although Willow must have sold her on returning to Sunnydale for the finale. But that's not a relationship, that's an adventure. She doesn't have feelings for Buffy, she is trying to impress her (right from her introduction) and subvert her (want, take, have) and to that extent she is successful on one occasion (the break-in at the weapons store). Beyond recognizing that she an Buffy are hot chicks with superpowers, there seems to be a professional rather than personal relationship and any two people in the same business can have that.

Agreed on "none of the above", maybe she should be alone, or I think she should be with someone almost ridiculously stable who can handle her issues and still be around and give her a safe harbour of sorts. No demons may apply for this position. Too many "could turn evil" risks.

Please. No Faith/Angel please! No Fuffy please! No fresh start please!

Romance is the weakest part of Buffyverse. BtVS S3 is partly ruined by Bangel, S6-S7 is partly ruined by Spuffy and AtS S3-S4 is totally ruined by various poisonous relationships...

A&F S9 has zero romance subplots and it's beautiful.

She could use Sam as her sexbot sometimes though. If the "Sam is the robot Warren built for Riley" theory is true.

Haha, well I don't think Riley was perfect, so no problem. 😉
Faith would need someone who's secure in themselves and independent... both things Riley (no disrespect to him, he was a young guy in love) was not. He was insecure about Buffy and as soon as they started dating his whole life revolved around her, not perfect, not stable. 🙂
 
I did go with Buffy, but yeah everyone on that list would present a problem somehow. Certain choices such as Angel I see as a no go. I can see him and Faith having a solid respect for each other but nothing more.

Wesley I could see maybe. Him and Faith have grown enough now for their past differences not to matter so much anymore. Maybe they still need to write Faith's ideal partner😉

I suppose for when he was alive. Yes, the two had a good working relationship, but I felt about it the same way I did about Buffy/Giles. No sexual tension there, aside from Faith complimenting him on his new look. Can you blame her though? She hasn't seen Wes in three years and he did a complete 180 in appearance.

Knowing Eliza and Sam's actress Ivana Milicevic are appearing in the fourth season of Banshee together that's pretty funny.
 
From the letters section of the latest issue of A&F: "Hey team, doesn't it seem like a really really long time since Faith had sex? Or even noticed a guy? Aren't you getting worried about her? I might not have been paying attention, but it seems like she hasn't hooked up since Robin Wood way back in Sunnydale. She was good then, and she's not going to lose her soul... I'm worried about her. She's saving the world, but never fully connecting with anyone outside the mission. I mean, Buffy is getting way more action than Faith in the comics. It makes no sense."

The editor's reply: "Interesting, and pretty funny, observation about Faith. Faith is a survivor. And also, if you're reading this final arc of Angel and Faith, I think you might be less concerned about her by the end... in some ways."

As for any sort of actual romantic relationship, as far as we've seen so far, it just plain isn't Faith's style. We're led to believe that, at best, she has a few one night stands, such as her one night with Xander in Season 3, but, beyond that, she's just not the dating girl type. The closest that we ever saw to anything like that was with Buffy, when they went dancing after a hard night of slaying, and when Faith pretty much asked to take Buffy to the prom. If Joss & company weren't trying to imply something there, they sure as heck missed a great chance.

I would love to see Faith actually have her dream guy, or girl, come along. I think that it could, if handled right, be a very interesting story arc, and it certainly should be her turn for a little happiness. To the best of my knowledge, she's the only character, or at least one of the very few, in the entire Buffyverse who has never been able to actually connect with anyone.

I wonder what this guy or girl in question would be like. As you said, Faith is not the dating type and she's never made it clear what she looks for in a romantic partner.

I think Faith's OK on her own but I too am interested to see how this would play out; she's definitely earned it.

That's probably because there has never been any actual romance in Faith's life. Or, at least, that would make a good story line. The literal first time that Faith has ever actually loved someone who loved her back. The whole hand holding, one milk shake and two straws, cuddling and giggling in the balcony at the movies sort of thing, "Something Blue" without any sort of magic spell, something REAL.

Of course, we all know, if anything like that ever did happen, Joss would take demonic pleasure in destroying it in the most painful way possible.

I thought that was odd the editor saying "in some ways", but rereading the letter and the part the guy talks about Faith not connecting with anyone, I think it maybe means not a boyfriend, but that she will get a family! And who talked about the power of a family in this very issue? Archaeus. It would be awesome if a relevant character was turned in a non-Wishversey way, what a dramatic plot line we would have! It's about time to shake things in the Buffyverse, and Faith as a vampire, part of Archaeus lineage would be perfect.
 
Just watching Homecoming in S3, and it occurred to me that Faith and Buffy having a fling would've been pretty steamy!
(but not a lasting relationship, because I'm too invested in Spuffy!)
