Who Should Play Wonder Woman?

I was flipping through the Mars edition of Total Film the other day, mainly I wanted to read about Serenity and Willy Wonka, but then I saw this small little note about Wonder Woman. Apparently Joss Whedon is going to make his own take on the comic and quote: Buffy Babes Sarah Michelle Gellar and Charisma Charpenter end quote. Was in the running for the role as Wonder Woman herself. Who would you like to see as Wonder Woman CC or SMG?
 
I voted for other. Rachel Bilson would be my suggestion; the O.C.-watcher will know what I'm talking about!
 
Is that summer because if it is i agree she would make a good wonder woman lol
 
Hmm... i think Eliza would make a great wonder woman. maybe it's just me, but i think she would fit the part. she has an amazing body.
 
Even though SMG, in my opinion, is the best actress out of any of the Whendonverse women, she doesn't have the look. Charisma and Eliza do, but Charisma a little more.

And something else to remember is, that when they cast these Comic Book movies they love to go for the unknowns. Although you could say that Eliza and Charisma are fairly unknown; well atleast compared to SMG or other celebs.

Sarah is just too small to be Wonder Woman. Eliza is okay, but she doesn't quite have the body. Charisma, on the other hand, has the curves. It would work for her.

That episode was fun to watch 😉

If this was between the women in the Buffyverse my first thought would be Eliza. But between Sarah and Charisma, for the rather silly reason of hair colour, I'd pick Charisma. I know Sarah can die her hair, but out of the two I'd picture Charisma before Sarah.
 
Definitely Charisma for the part of Diana Prince. The right looks plus the right shape - a winning combination 🙂
 
Agree with the masses. Charisma Carpenter has the aura to do it. Wonder Woman needs to be tall and overly womanly and brunette Charisma with long hair would make a perfect Wonder Woman.

But then again if we take a step away from the comic I think that Gina Torres might make a quite good Wonder Woman. She has that kinda larger than life quality to her looks and height. Just look at her Jasmine(Angel) and mix that up with Anna Espinosa(Alias) and you'll get a pretty darn good Wonder Woman.

You could be onto something there JA - Gina was quite the action hero in Firefly. It's just a short step to super-hero 🙂
 
The way I see the whole super-heroin situation issss:

Sarah Michelle Gellar as Black Cat

Charisma Carpenter as Lois Lane

Eliza Dushku as Wonder Woman

But thats just my personal opinion...

WOW! Charisma as Lois Lane!!! That would be great! But didn't they recently announce that it would be Kate Bosworth?
 
I think that it should DEFINITLY be Charsima! She would be PERFECT for the role!! Plus, she already looks like wonder Woman!! Hmm, whadda ya know?!? :vpleased:
 
Deffinetly Charisma! She would be perfect for the role. But if I must choose other also eliza would be good too 😀
 
Someone at another site I visited was making an interesting point.

He was saying people who were touting Sarah, Charisma, and Eliza for the Wonder Woman role were looking in the wrong corner of the Whedonverse.

His choice: Morena Baccarin who plays companion Inara Serra in Firefly/Serenity.

I don't know. Whata you think?
 
I wouldn't mind, but still Gina Torres would be better. But this is what I've heard:

Whedonville news : seems Kim Basinger might actually be Joss Whedon's first choice for "Wonder Woman", but not Producer Joel Silver's.

Silver has essentially decided that there's only one lass out there for WW : the much-younger, more bankable Jessica Biel, and because Whedon doesn't quite agree with his choice, he's yet to sign officially onto the film. Interesting.

I agree with that Summer(Rachel Bilson) would be perfect. She was the greatest wonder woman in O.C. Seth is so lucky to have her!😛
Eliza Dusku would also rock as wonderwomen😛 She's got everything wonder woman needs, strenght and beautyness.

But Jessica Biel? Isn't that that girl from seventh heaven?
 
Jup it is, but I think it was the Blade3 gig that made her interesting to the producer.

Don't get me wrong I love ED, but this isn't the role for her. She needs to have more darkness to her characters and Wonder Woman is kinda like Superman whereas Eliza would make a perfect female Batman (can't think of a good comic character like that just now). But then again it's Whedon who's the writer and I know the man knows how to get the characters dark.
