Who Should Play Wonder Woman?

Ok, I agree with that Eliza Dusku would be better as Batman or someone like that. But I think she could pull of Wonder woman too. Who says wonder woman can't be a little dark?
 
I always thought Jennifer Connelly would be a good Wonder Woman. She looks sort of like the Alex Ross paintings of WW. Beautiful black hair, greenish (not the blue) eyes. Very good actress. Ross's Wonder Woman looks to be about 30-35. Just about right with Connelly. Always had a crush on her since "The Rocketeer".

Maybe Joss should just go with a relative unknown. Worked for Superman.

SMG just doesnt fit the role, shes to small in all the departments except acting, WW is an amazon, tall, muscular alittle.

I would say Charisma would be good for the role, espically since she looks tall enough and given that she will most likely be in boots which will boost her heigth even further.

I would also say Kate Beckinsale, she has that excotic look to her, would be a good heigth and would just look great in the costume and can act.

And my last choice would be ofcourse "Lucy Lawless!" espically if they kind of watned to do a middle aged WW, Lucy still looks great for her age, basically played the role with Xena, has GREAT acting chops, has good heigth.

and since Joss is doing the job, I hope they make a few nice changes to the costume,maybe abit darker and make the eagle look feircer.

On appearance alone, still liking Jennifer Connelly. Is she considered over the hill? Maybe she's not on television screens enough to register in the editor's minds. Actually, Uma would be great too.
 
I'm still going to say Gina Torres - I think Jolly Ape mentioned her first in another thread...she'd be great as Diana
 
I think looks-wise Lauren would do an excellent job as WW she's certainly got the right look going *imagines lauren in WW outfit*....and the sex appeal is totally there....😛.


Though I still would prefer Eliza in that outfit :drool2:

I'm all for any Firefly actor getting any kind of part, except not in this case. I'm a traditionalist. For me Wonder Woman is white, just like Blade is black. I want her to have the traditional suit too. I hope they don't mess with the costume too much.

Gina Torres should be Storm.

Actually, Gina already has played an Amazon-type character in the Hercules/Xenaverse. She was Nebula, the ass-kickin' pirate captain and Sumerian princess in Hercules, as I recall, but I know what you mean about being a traditionalist...🙂

I think she also played Queen Cleopatra in Xena...

Looking at the teaser poster for the movie ( SEE HERE) it looks like they're going down the traditionalist road...
 
Wow.... I'm the only one to vote for Sarah.

I guess that I voted for her because she has the heroine attitude. I don't know much about WW, but I always thought that she was a hero... saves the day and all. Am I right?

If I am, then I pick the person who acts most like a hero. That's why I picked Sarah. You know, she could always color her hair black.

But who knows. I guess we'll all just find out when it is announced. It will probably be somebody that nobody agreed on, and we'll all hate it.
 
Lauren Graham, somehow I would find that funny. Wonder if she would babble on like on Gilmore Girls.

Although I think Charisma would be great and she could use it as a big break.
 
I don't know what you all think, but Lucy Lawless just doesn't have any sex appeal. She's too manly looking IMHO...

Eliza Dushku was, a while back, supposed to be a front runner to play her. i think she'd be perfect for it!
 
I read an article on a SMG site... I can't remember which, I'll keep looking... But it had said that Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jennifer Lopez were both being considered for the part... I'm thinking, just a rumor... 😛


And Lawless isn't as "manly" looking anymore... She's gotten a lot smaller, and that "manly" feature was for the role as Xena... It wasn't "her" persay 🙂
