Who was the best match for Buffy Summers?

I've always felt that to feel satisfied Buffy needed someone special in her life. After Riley leaves she feels so alone and this is also seen in season 6 and leads her to sleep with Spike.

Spikey. That's easy for me, for many many reasons. Just so you know I didn't pick Spike for the spuffiness side in me (although it has a big part of it), I trully believe they're right for each other. Again, for many many reasons. I also don't think Faith is the best match for her, because neither one is a lesbian, so that doesn't make any sense. But I guess it isn't meant to.

For me it doesn't matter if Buffy or Faith isn't gay. It's the interaction they had, they obvious fact that Faith is in love with Buffy and the fact that she's the only one who truly understands her. There both slayers for god's sake! Who can relate to each other more out of anyone here? Sure Spike got his soul back for her but Spike didn't even bother to contact her post S7, instead he stayed at Los Angeles and closed off that chapter of his life. And I'm not gonna be all high and mighty about Bangel, Angel left for Los Angeles to and re-connected with his old vampire lover Darla.

Hence why I think Faith makes a good match for her

Angel deffiently. their love was so true, and epic. They loved eachother with all their hearts and you can see it when they are together.

I'm not saying I hate spuffy, even though I didn't like them together much. But i don't believe they are made to be together because for me their relationship was just Buffy on a fringe and trying to find herself. I believe she does love him but like she loves Xander or Willow, not Angel. their love is the truest of true, well in my opinion!

BTW: I have one other thing. I do believe now Spike in a way does love Buffy More than Angel, and this is why. Angel loves Buffy with a soul, when he loses it he wants to toture and kill her. Spike on the other hand he fell in love with buffy without and soul and to prove his love went and got a soul. So I am a Buffy Shipper and believe they are ment to be. But i can see how Spike can love Buffy more.

(I can't believe that this thread has been around since last September, and I've not spoken my piece on the subject yet, so, here goes)

Not surprisingly, I cast my vote for Spike, because I honestly believe that he is what Buffy needs right now. A boyfriend who is as superhuman as she is, who she can trust implicitly to always take her side in any argument and to stand at her shoulder or cover her back, no matter what she might face. That's exactly what she needs RIGHT NOW.

But someday Buffy's going to pass her stake on to Faith, Satsu, or some other worthy young Slayer, because she's going to be the first one to get out of the battle alive. Then, she's going to need someone who can give her children, can grow old with her, and can simply BE with her throughout the peaceful time. When that time comes, Spike's gonna go back to that African cave, pass another set of trials that would be impossible for any other man, and William Pratt (or whatever his last name really is) is going to marry Buffy and they're going to live happily ever, despite Joss' best efforts to gum everything up.

I've probably written in this thread before but I have a sudden urge to write my peice in again.

We all know that I voted for Spike. And Spike is leading so I'm completely and utterly thrilled. Something that surprised me is that Parker and Riley got votes but Pike didn't get any. I love Pike. Interesting that.

But anyway, I voted for Spike. Think of how much he loves Buffy and he's become a respectable person that she deserves since getting a soul. Although she was probably not deserving of him in season 6 despite his lack of a soul. But really, he's the person I believe is best for her. Although I'm also in support of Angel, Faith and Pike. I'm weird that way. And this is me offically saying that I support Bangel "ducks the tomatos", but not was much as Spuffy...and not in the third season too much.

So...yeah, I don't know why I posted again.

Either Xander because even though they've never gotten together, they would have been an awesome couple.

Or Spike. Ya know, I used to be Bangel but the more and more I watch the series and read the comics and see how they interact, I know Buffy and Angel will always love each other, but Spike is better for her.

I've always been a bangel fan, and I rarely change my 'ships once I pick them (Smallville being the only time that's happened).

I love Angel and Buffy together. The first couple of seasons do have a very ''first love'' feel to it. She's young, he's falling in love for the first time, so its all very sweet, even with all the drama. I really enjoyed watching it progress from that first love to something deeper. After Angel goes evil and destroys Buffy's idealism (and I suppose his, in a way) its good to see them having a more adult relationship. When they separate and he moves to LA and they have their first real fight over Faith it shows them as equals instead of Angel just following her lead.

Its the most enjoyable relationship, in my opinion, to watch from the start 🙂

The lesbian lover in me want to say Satsu or possibly Willow but no. I'll go with Pike or other. Don't remember much from the movie to be honest but Pike must be better for Buffy than Angel or Spike right? 😉 Both Angel and Spike got things going for them but all in all none of them are a great match for Buffy in my mind. She needs someone to make her happy as Cordelia did for Angel. Other meaning someone we haven't met yet. It'll come in season 9. 😀 Xander could have worked if it wasn't for what happens in season 8.
