I thought these both were excellent characters, but i don't know i thought the Turok Han was cooler, the first specie of vampire (if i am wrong correct me)But Caleb came across as manipulating as the first, he fooled me i thought he was just a worshiper .But his God turned out to be the first...

I don't know what do you think ??

Caleb, hands down. I think he was a brilliant bad guy with his bigotry, his jealousy, his callousness and his idolisation of the First.

The Turok-Han struck me more or less like "just" an über-strong, feral vampire.

I think Caleb takes this one too. The Turok Han were 'opponents' and not much more than any other demon on the series really. But Caleb was a villain. His manipulation, his misogyny, not to mention his strength made him one of the most captivating enemies of the whole series. He kind of had the same thing going on that The Mayor did. They both appeared human but were down right cruel, callous and calculated.

Plus they thought for themselves. The Turok Han were more like lackeys. They were so primitive that they were predisposed to be demonic and violent. But Caleb and The Mayor made a conscious choice to be 'evil'.

I loved the ubervamp. But Caleb is probably a lot cooler. His death was way more awesome too. His head didn't just get chopped off. Wait, are we speaking of the first Turok Han, or all of them? The rest of them were pretty lame.

Caleb. Imagine a million Calebs coming at you in the hellmouth.

I have to give this one to Caleb. There's just that creepy vibe about him. And he had that sinister smile everytime he was about to do something really, really awful. Brr! I find that way scarier that the Turok Han's growls. lol
Plus, he actually had a motivation for his actions. He chose to be evil, because of all his hatred (especially towards women) and his twisted view on the world. He was striving for power and stopped at nothing to achieve his goals. While the Turok Han were just like some wild animals, who attacked without having an actual purpose.
And let's not forget about the little mind tricks. Like when he was in the car with that potential, acting all nice and making her feel safe and, then, out of the blue, he pulls an 180!
So, yeah, in case I haven't made myself clear: Caleb.

P.S. He was funnier as well. (sw)

Was the Turok Han in illyria's time?

Yes; she mentioned that the vampire was a lowly weak species in her day, and considering that the Turok-Han were the neanderthals to the modern vampire, it is a safe assumption that she was speaking of the Turok-Han when she spoke of the vampire.

so is she saying that a turok han his weak ?
Going with what scobro says ... and I agree
so yes ukkido9 as far as Illyria was concerned the vampires of her day were weak
'the ooze that squished between her toes' ( or something similar to that )

Gimme a good Caleb anyday, at least he had character ... not a very nice character, but he was fun to watch
( One for the film buffs here, was Nathan a priest in BTVS before or after being a priest in Dracula 2000 )

normal vampire feared the turok han , it carn't be that weak
white avenger
white avenger
Relative to how powerful Illyria was in her original incarnation, yes, the Turok Han were weak. Compared to her at that time, brobably EVERYTHING ELSE would have been considered weak.
Caleb.

A turok han is like a animal. It attacks, it feeds. It might not even bother to make the death slow.

Humans(I assume Caleb was human), specially sadists like Caleb, likes their victims to suffer. They don't do it for food, they do it for fun.

I fear sadists more than I do animalistic creatures. Not that a Turok Han wouldn't make me run screaming in the other directon...

Good on you Old Man Winter! I saw about five minutes of D2K before I turned it off as crap.. so I run to IMDB and.. it actually has a pretty good cast! Gerald Butler as Dracula??? I feel shame for not seeing it.

Caleb was definitely the better bad guy, but comparing him to the Turok Han, even if you refer solely to the original one, who was apparently the most powerful member of his race, isn't really fair to the ubervamps. They were mere minions, just muscle for the First Evil. Caleb was its second in command. A better comparison would be the first Turok Han with the Beast, or Caleb with Adam.

(Given those choices, I would go with the Beast and Adam.)

I have to go with Caleb. He had so much hatred behind his power. The Turok Han was primal; it killed instinctively. Both awesome bad guys, but Caleb wins hands down.

The Turok Hans were like the Reavers of Serenity, if they could've been bothered with mucking about with their victims. Caleb against Glory; Glory was a God and Caleb was the Firsts bitch ... now if Buffy or Spike had said he was the Firsts bitch that would have really got him going.
