Might be interesting though. Maybe the point they're trying to make is we're entering a world where we're all becoming dolls, so in the Dollhouse they create a reality where you stop asking, "who's a doll", and start asking, "who isn't?"
That would be crazy, nuts, eh?
Didn't they make that point in the little vignettes when that Professor type person said that as soon as this technology was around thats it, the end of humanity sort of thing?
To me that was Joss saying that the fact remains, who ever has this power will use it for whatever means AND it makes sense in a way that should you have a 'Dollhouse' that its people were 'Dolls' as well - that way every single one of them is expendable BUT also they aren't ever in a position to have power or control themselves.

Wait a minute though. Come to think of it, I was wondering about something. How did Boyd discover how Sierra was being abused? He was looking up at the video security camera and...
He worked out the blind spot.
That, to me, suggested that it couldn't have been a 'Doll'. The 'Doll', if it was responsible, would have come at this from a child like stance, where as the actual 'rape' was calculated - something the 'Dolls' can't do without a persona and if it was capable, then it would have been noticable.
It would then be easy to deduce the people who have access - I haven't seen all the episodes, but I would assume there are some restrictions, and you then only have a closed circle of people.
After that, the 'handler' would be an obvious choice because we're to believe that these 'Dolls' are child-like and in cases of rape/child abuse its generally someone close to the child, or in this case 'Doll'.
Eugh, I'm more interested in discussing it than watching it!!
I might watch more JUST so I can do this!

The 'she cries at night' thing adds more to the child abuse by a family member stuff that this episode seemed to be going for - its definitely something Joss likes to 'play' with.
