Who's the best kisser in kissonia?

Okay, here are my opinions of the kisses:
Angel: Lasted approximately 18 seconds. The lead-in was a little awkward, but mostly conveyed an undeniable sort of attraction. They both hesitated and stated reasons for which they should not get involved, but their bodies ignored them. lol. The kiss started out soft and sweet, but it heated up rather rapidly. They kissed hungrily, which seemed to be too much for Angel, who did apparently get hungry, as he vamped out. Then, she screamed and he ran away.
Riley:
I don't think we can use the kiss from Hush. It takes place in the middle of the episode. The spell is still in effect. They don't have their voices. If we don't want Angel's curse to influence his kissing performance, then we have to be fair to Riley and choose a kiss during which he isn't under a spell. I'm holding off on judging him until I can see a better kiss.
Do any Riley fans know when they get their first non-spell-induced/influenced kiss?

Okay, I just watched the end of OMWF, and I don't think we should use that one, either. Everyone is still singing. It's not something that Spike and Buffy are doing just because. So I think the spell is still in place. That being the case, I think we should use the one at the end of Tabula Rasa, as we absolutely know without a doubt that the spell is broken by the time they kiss.
I guess I'm requesting a suggestion for a suitable Riley kiss and Tabula Rasa for Spike. What does everyone else think?
Side note: why the heck to all of these kisses happen while under the influence of a spell? It's really hard to find one that seems "natural."
Another side note: I am putting waaaay too much thought into this. lol.

In Tabula Rasa, we come in on the already-in-progress kiss. That gives us no way of accurately measuring duration or observing the lead-in. Darn! Do we want to use Smashed, then?
I'm about to give up. I think the lesson I'm learning here is that kisses just aren't easily comparable, at least not by any sort of objective, easily quantifiable means. lol.

Hello, Spike's kiss in OMWF is one of the best on screen kisses ever! I mean come on Angel was too much of a softy, Spikes kissing is by far the best!

I'm thinking I might have to vote for Spike.
In an attempt to find a non-spell induced/influenced kiss, I watched the end of Smashed. The sexually charged banter. The sexually charged fighting. The sexually charged... umm, kissing and then the subsequently sexually charged sex. lol. That was just plain hot.
So I guess I'm gonna have to go with Spike. Cuz his kiss scenes and sex scenes, they just look fun, man. Angel and Riley look sweet, but not fun. So I think Spike gets my vote, just because his kisses look more entertaining. I have given up on comparing and contrasting based on some sort of objective criteria. I can't find three comparable scenes. That being the case, I'll go with a single subjective criterion: which looks like most fun? Spike gets that vote. Hehe.

I'm a bangel so there's no question that I'm gonna vote for anyone but Angel. Spike and Buffy's kisses seem a little angry and rough, and while that can be passionate, I still can't get past the angryness (is that a word lol). The only time I think Bangel kisses start to loose their passion is towards the end of season 7. I can't believe I typed that but I think its true. They seem a bit more awkward, but that's coz they haven't seen each other in years so its understandable.
But anyway, yeah, Angel gets my vote.

I think that's because half of him probably *did* want to bite her face off. lol. They were both sorta angry.
Oh... and who went all bumpy faced when he first kissed her? Huh? Huh? Was it my boy? No, it was not. It was yours. Say what you will about Spike, but at least he stayed in man face instead of in hungry vamp face.
Yeah and before he went all vampy he kissed like a woman should be kissed. Passionately but tender at the same time, the little things like the nibbling of the lip and the eskimo kiss with the noses, those are the things that show he cares! and Buffy likes my boys vamp face! so says What's my line part 1!!!!
Yeah, but you could view that in one of two ways;
1) Angel wanted to push Buffy away, he did not want to give into his weakness so he revealed the only thing he could about himself that would make Buffy turn from him. That to me screams sweetness, bless his old fashioned male protective ways.

2) He was so over come with passion that the blood lust rose with it and he couldn't control his hunger. (I'm taking this view from vampire novels I've read and not so much the Buffyverse, but still 🙂

To be honest, I think Angel's kisses were hot, too. I'm just having a bit of fun with our avowed Bangelite over there. I mean, I'd take them before I'd leave them. No question. It's just... Angel always seemed like he was holding back. Call it sweet or caring or whatever, but I've never cared for that kind of kiss. It's not in my nature. That's why I like Spike. He didn't look like he was holding back. He looked like he was relishing every moment and constantly pushing forward. That, to me, is a way more exciting in a kiss. I want to be wanted, challenged, met, and matched. It's more about sensation than emotion. I don't particularly want to be protected or cherished or cared for, not when it comes to kissing, at least.
As far as kissing like a woman should be kissed... that wasn't any vamp in history, ladies and gents, that was Rhett Butler. Mmmm. Why didn't someone vamp *him?*

I know what you mean pala, but kisses like Spike's after a while seem to lack emotion, they don't lack passion or lust, but a girl likes a bit of gentleness every so often, makes her feels cherished. Or that's my point of view. I can certainly see where your coming from though 🙂
