Why Charmed is better than Buffy

I disagree with you Sibby on the point of Brad Kern cause he is the worst writer involved with Charmed he ruined it in alot of peoples opinions
and I have to agree with them but I sorta agree that it did have a bumpy road but still not drawn out like Buffy.

Uhm... the creator was a woman. Constance M. Burge. And she left after the third season, staying on as a consultant. And then finally quit altogether after the fourth season. Then, the show went downhill. Thanks to Brad.

Why Charmed is better than Buffy . . . um, because you don't have to think when you watch it? I know my students hate thinking. Maybe that's a reason.

I'm watching Smallville right now, and I know what you mean. It's so mediocre and banal...yet strangely entertaining. I have to engage in all this intellectual discussion at school all day - when I come home all I want to do is veg out in front of the TV lol.

Hahaha, oh, I like DoI's idea a lot.

For some reason, I was so tired today that I didn't even change the TV after Angel was over, and so I ended up watching Charmed.

It seriously lacks good action. Most of the time Holly's character, Piper, just thrusts her hands forward and *poof* the evil is gone. Orrrr they use some silly rhyming poem or a haiku and them demon guy goes all flame-and-scream-in-terror-until-*poof*. It's as if you can predict everything that's going to happen because the writers seemed to not care very much about making the demons seem more than just stand-in characters that would die later in the episode.

Thre fact of the matter is, TV drama of this type has been 'borrowing' ideas since before the 80's.

Heck, it got to the stage in Star Trek and Stargate (two franchises I adore FYI) that they simply said 'Like that time in that episode on the other show!'.

I told StuckinTraffic to open this thread because I wanted to vent at someone who would stupidly say that Charmed WAS better than Buffy - no one bit though.

I don't see how anyone could even attempt to argue that Buffy even approaches the genius of Charmed. Buffy is like what Charmed would be if you sucked all of the intelligence out of it. Buffy sucks.

Thats not an opinion, thats a fact.

Opinion would be if I said if I thought the show was good, bad, diabolical, hilarious or something fit for humanity - what I said was I need to be drunk while watching - which is fact.
