Oh, I definitely don't. I think her clothing comes from, as many have already stated, a mix of where she came from and as a form of armor/costume. I think how you view her clothing may also be at least partially influenced by where you live and what you have seen. Here in Seattle, I've pretty much seen it all, so this is isn't unusual by any means to me. Additionally, i see her clothing oftimes to be like Spike's costume he uses for his external persona. We know that Faith had no one. It was survival. Everytime you choose a hairstyle/color and make up colors and clothing style and colors you are choosing your external persona. Do you want to be seen as intimidating or submissive? As innocent or not? I have dressed like Faith before and like Buffy. Whether i am covered in pastels one day or red and black with my curves and cleavage showing i am still the same person inside. So is Faith, but she is much more concerned, i think, with what she shows and what she hides from the outside world. She is virtually isolated, at least emotionally, from the oustide world. Her clothing is her way of saying "fine, i don't want to be (socially) accepted anyway." I saw her clothing as fitting her character. Also, i see it as at least a bit of a power thing...
